Syrian, Russian forces eliminate terrorist units in coordinated ops.
Renewed battles in Syria have drawn significant international attention as terrorist organizations have reignited conflict in the country.The Syrian Armed Forces, with the support of Russian and Syrian combat aircraft, carried out a successful operation against terrorist units in the north of Homs province, the Syrian Defense Ministry announced on Friday.
"Our Armed Forces carried out a successful operation… in the north of Homs province. With the support of Syrian and Russian aircraft, artillery and military hardware, dozens of terrorists… and a large number of their equipment and weapons were destroyed," the statement read.
Nationwide Strikes Yield Significant Gains
In a separate briefing, Oleg Ignasyuk, deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Sides in Syria, provided details on broader military operations across Syria over the past 24 hours."Over the past day, aircraft of the Russian armed forces and the Syrian air force carried out missile and bombing strikes on places of militants' accumulation and ammunition depots in the provinces of Idlib, Hama and Aleppo. Up to 200 terrorists, 15 armored combat vehicles, two MLRS, two mortars, 43 vehicles, nine motorcycles, 15 drones, two command posts, seven material depots were destroyed," Ignasyuk stated.

On November 27, forces led by Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) launched a large-scale offensive, capturing key areas, including parts of Aleppo, and advancing toward Hama to later take over the city.
Following the Syrian Arab Army's (SAA) redeployment outside Hama on Thursday, Syrian Defense Minister Ali Abbas confirmed in an interview with Al Mayadeen that the army was "in a strong field position" and had regained control of parts of Hama.
No SDF presence in eastern Syrian cities
On a related note, sources close to Al Mayadeen confirmed earlier today that military convoys of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) crossed through the al-Salihiya crossing towards the Damascus-Deir Ezzor road, in coordination with the SAA.For its part, the Deir Ezzor Military Council, affiliated with the SDF, indicated that "the developments taking place in our homeland, Syria, pose a threat to the security of our people and our region in Deir Ezzor," adding that "the mercenary groups affiliated with the Turkish occupation and ISIS mercenaries are active again in the Deir Ezzor desert."
While the Council said that its fighters were deployed in the city of Deir Ezzor and west of the Euphrates, Al Mayadeen's sources denied that the SDF had entered the city of Deir Ezzor and the cities of al-Mayadin and Bukamal, confirming the presence of state institutions and police units in all of them, while service agencies continue to provide all available services to the residents.
