Marwan Bishara, Al Jazeera’s Senior Political Analyst, delves into the strategic and political considerations behind Iranian attacks in Iraq and Pakistan. Bishara highlighted that Iran aims to convey various messages, foremost among them being an assertion of its regional power and an unequivocal warning against any attempts to challenge it. Additionally, he suggested that, beyond replying on the targeted countries, Iran seeks to directly con-front the United States within the region through these attacks. Bishara argued that the attacks serve as a demonstration of Iran's strength and capability, sending a clear message to both Iraq and Pakistan. Further, Bishara predicted that Iran's actions are a deliberate signal to groups and countries alike, emphasizing their resilience and ability to respond effectively. He cast doubt on any notion that Iran would allow further provocations, asserting that they stand ready to retaliate against any attacks with force. On the matter, Bishara noted that these acts also serve to reassure the Iranian population, fostering confidence by showcasing the country's strategic consciousness and willingness to take decisive action.

So if we say that region is not fully controlled by Pakistani and Iranian governments, we shall start lobbing missiles at each other to kill these wanted terrorists? Is that the right strategy?

Well it has to be a military solution. But the lobbing of missiles was as a result of inaction in cooperation and coordination for a whole host of reasons for years and years and years. Dont think we've forgotten 2009 pishin bombings as one of many examples of this.

has it been a "few hours" yet?
Seems likes of u want a Response!!!!
Any attack inside Iran is a major embarrassment for the IRGC and Hajizadeh in particular, who always emphasised our red line was our sovereign territory. Hajizadeh said yesterday we are ready for whatever happens next (Pakistani retaliation). If this news is true, hopefully that was not another IRGC bluff/lie.
Hahaha how was the response....

Violation of sovereignty is the worst outcome, whatever is the pretext. Hopefully IRGC will learn from this episode.

Happy to be proven wrong . Glad that Pakistan has stuck back and maintained our self respect . Waiting more details

Not for someone that isn't drugged up on nationalism and borders, when there is a bigger issue that could have been solved as a team, but one side had other plans.

I did not think there would be a response. If this news is confirmed, I was wrong.

I have no anger for Pakistan and you will not see me or other Iranians calling for nuclear war with Pakistan (to the contrary, we see most Iranians here are supportive of these potential Pakistani strikes). I blame the IRGC entirely and hope they thought this through with a plan.
