Also the new Syrian rulers won’t want to be dependent upon any one power, and will want to have arms supplies from the Russians. Good relations will have them back up in a few years time, without the baggage of Assad’s Baathist regime.
This seems more a victory of the Syrian tribal system to endure.
That would probably not going to happen, not with Turks backing, there are already news that Turkey move in troop inside HTS/SNA area. If this is true, that and from what Erdogan said, seems like Turkey want Syria for itself. Which mean HTS and SNA would be leaning on Turkey both support and arms for a foreseeable future.
I also doubt Russia would be able to keep its base in Syria, one of the reasons why the Syrian rise up is because they think Russia is an oppressor and outside influencer, it's like if and when HTS or SNA or both roll over the Kurds and FSA territories, they won't let the US keep their base.......
