Everyone paid the price for their betrayal.

You have to live to fight another day. Doing things that will make you dead is not a good negotiating tactic. There have been numerous instances of weaker sides achieving justice in a fight with stronger adversary.

No, the oppressed do their part and by standers form opinions. We stare at their misery and give suggestions on what could have been...

They're standing up for their cause!
They're not hopeless, we are!

I literally said "Syrians wanted Iran out", so how am I deluding myself exactly?

Another lie from you.

Then you(Iran) should have got out. lol

Sry, but I assumed your position is the same as the state's position.

But you didn't, why? b/c you need to support Bollah.

You think its bad now? I have a feeling that this shit the Israelis are doing is not directed towards Syria, as much as Southern Lebanon, that 60 day ceasefire is not gonna last, Netanyahu is Greedy, he will make another attempt at Lebanon with Trump in power, and this time likely without strategic depth in Syria, no supply line and better geographical positioning. If Hezbollah falls, then the Lebanese will likely be angry at you(Iran) for leaving them hanging. So you got more possible BS coming your way.

And military power is really just a result of the first two.
Why not the other way around? i.e The economic and technology power is because of the military?
For example the Internet was initially created for the military, satellite tech was developed out of fear of Soviets launching Sputnik, the military helped secure oil reserves and other natural resources, etc.

He served as Director of Association Affairs, then worked as Minister of Development and Humanitarian Affairs in the Salvation Government affiliated with the revolution in Idlib in 2022. Al Jazeera’s correspondent reports that Engineer Muhammad al-Bashir, head of the Syrian Salvation Government, which has been running Idlib for years, will be assigned to form a new Syrian government to manage the phase. The disrespect that Assad showed to Turkey is one for the history book.

He really thought Turkey was weak and that Erdogan came begging for a normalization deal, and that he somehow could afford to play games.

Turkey told Iran and Iraq about their concerns for the refugees needing to go home, and they understood right away, it was a reasonable request, these people want to go home, let's compromise and fix this.

He mistook a peace offering for weakness and tried to act tough and dismissive like he didn't need to listen.

Well he found out in exactly 11 days time. lol

never going to happen

one is NATO member one is owner of USA
Never say never these are strange and chaotic times the region, and the world, is living in. Also the battlefield can be Syria with neither striking each others nation.

Question is which nation loves their "factions" more and is willing to defend them militarily.

Do not project your own imaginations on others.
Who is crying?
I am aware that only muslim nations can help them self in the name of God almighty.
I don’t believe he’s actually Chinese. He’s a Pakistani guy wanna be Chinese…..😝

HTS, Hamas, Taliban, Houthis, Hezbollah, Iraqi Shiite militias are all backed by Turkey and Iran. Makes sense Turkey and Iran will jointly control their factions in Syria which strategically border Israel.

Safe to say the Gaza Israel war doomed Assad's popularity. Assad did nothing and Syrians are mad about his inaction. It's time for new leadership in Syria.
