Syrian Civil War and The future of Syria after liberation

literally a fake picture.
The Iranian, Russian and Twelver bot armies have been busy with ongoing propaganda since their humiliating defeat. Give it a few days or weeks and it should eventually stop when reality sinks in. Everything they post is a lie.

They are even spinning captured mass-murderers (Shabiha) as "poor" civilians being executed. Good riddance, I say.

I've been trying my best not to bring religion into the discussion, even though the USA-Israeli assault on the Muslim world is driven entirely by Judeo-Christian messianic beliefs. But I'll give you a little snapshot.

Syria is not going to turn into Jordan. It is the setting for what in Islamic prophecies is called the Malhama al Kubra, the most brutal battle in human history, Armagaddon.

The Last Hour would not come until the Romans land at al-A’maq or in Dabiq. An army consisting of the best (soldiers) of the people of the earth at that time will come from Medina (to counteract them). Sahih-Muslim Hadith, Vol. 41, Chap. 9, Hadith 6924

Dabiq is just north of Aleppo. The Romans (US/NATO) and the Muslims are all gathering there. So, no, this is not ending until the $hit hits the fan, which is exactly what the Evangelical Christians of America want.
According to Christianity, it is supposed to happen at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tel_Megiddo
I have been there; it is a beautiful plain. They have some archeological excavations there with arrowheads and stone tools going back to 5,000+ years. So, they have been fighting there forever but the world is still spinning.

Biggest problem for Syria will be buying modern weapons, they practically won the war over much stronger opponent in numbers because their infantry was better supported and organized then regime's.
And i considered their options for mid term build up of their armor, air, Ad, navy assets and units and they have no options even if they are loaded with cash. That is huge problem for stability and future perspectives.
Their civilian success in upcoming period will mean almost nothing if could not be defended properly and being able to be credible threat for jew occupation of their territory.
So far turk would like but not sure if they can step in those shoes to help them substantially.

That is where Arabs and Turkey MUST step in. If the US wants a potential friendly partner, they could help in this regard as well. I think they would prefer to keep the Russians out if they don't return which looks unlikely. I would be surprised if HTS would accept the same military to remain that was bombing them weekly for 8 years. I certainly don't hope so.

The only external threats against Syria is Israeli opportunistic expansion (I doubt that it will be more than those buffer zones - we will see if really temporary as they claim - I have my doubts) and Biden Administration/US SDF project. Remains to be seen if Trump stops that project. I think that he will when he sees how unfeasible it is and when Arabs and Turks pressure him. Once again the dark horse here is Israel who would love an independent Kurdistan spanning 4 countries = natural ally of Israel. Those two proponents of this project make no secret of it btw.

So Israelis need to be convinced that in a post-peaceful region, (which is naturally the case), Arabs and Turks are 1 billion times more important potential partners than Kurds.

Anyway I don't believe in that project. The Kurds in Iraq (KRG - which has a huge Arab minority), have not declared independence yet after 30 + years.

Fighting continues in northern Syria between pro-Turkish and Kurdish factions

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), a coalition of militant groups in northern Syria dominated by Kurdish organizations, says that Turkey and its militia allies continued bombardments Wednesday in areas near the city of Kobani that borders Turkey.

The SDF said the city “remains at risk of war due to continuous provocations by Turkey” and its supporters, with attacks using heavy artillery and drones in rural areas south and west of Kobani.

Two paramedics were killed, the SDF said, when their ambulance was struck by a drone. A woman was killed when the vehicle she was traveling in was hit.

The SDF claimed Turkish warplanes and drones were “flying intensively in the airspace in Kobani, Manbij,” and other areas.

Further south in the city of Raqqa, there had been two drone strikes, the SDF said. Social media video showed a plume of smoke rising in one location in Raqqa. Turkish military and intelligence declined comment on the strikes. Turkish-backed factions in northern Syria also possess attack drones but have not commented on the situation in Raqqa.

A resident of Raqqa confirmed to CNN that a US military convoy had been present Wednesday at the northern entrance of the city. The US has worked with the SDF since 2017 to eliminate the remnants of the ISIS terror group in northern Syria and has some 900 troops stationed in northern Syria.

The pro-Turkish factions involved in the fighting in the north are part of the coalition that began a rebel offensive against the Assad regime late last month. Since then, clashes have begun with Kurdish groups in the parts of northern Syria that have been under Kurdish control for much of the last decade.

Videos point to the Assad regime's involvement in drug trafficking

Obtained by CNN

Social media video surfaced Wednesday allegedly showing a warehouse in Syria stacked with captagon, an illicit drug that had transformed the country into a narco-state under former President Bashar al-Assad’s rule.

The large warehouse was reportedly located at the headquarters of a military division near Damascus that was commanded by Assad’s brother Maher. CNN is unable immediately to verify the location.

A voice commenting over the video says that it is “one of the largest warehouse facilities of captagon manufacturing of pills.” Piles of pills are seen on the floor along with drug-making equipment.

If confirmed, the discovery would support claims by the United States and others that the Assad regime had been involved in actively exporting the drug. Captagon has become a significant social problem in neighboring Arab nations and spurred some of them to engage in talks with the former Syrian regime to curb its trafficking.

It is a highly addictive drug, mostly containing amphetamine, that is sometimes described as the “poor man’s cocaine.” Studies over recent years have estimated the annual trade in the drug to be worth billions of dollars. It is believed to have become an economic lifeline for the Assad regime while it was under crippling American sanctions.

I think Trump administration will want no part of Syria mess unless there is strong evidence that some sort of ISIS or Al-Qaeda might crop up.
I mean, Al Qaeda currently rules the country now thanks to the CIA/Mossad who created it.

I think you mean if they get "out of control"

Looks like the Iranian Molla regime will keep on fighting Turkey. It's time to wake up for those Turkish folks who're still doing Matem at the fall of ASSAD.....

Turkish drone strikes convoy carrying military hardware in northern Syria

From CNN's Tim Lister

Turkish state media says that a Turkish drone destroyed military equipment in northern Syria that had been seized by a Kurdish group.

Turkish military intelligence released drone surveillance footage showing several vehicles in a convoy being struck. The strikes were reported to have been carried near Qamishli airport close to the Syrian border with Turkey.

The convoy included twelve trucks loaded with ammunition and two tanks according to Turkish state media. Ammunition stores were also struck.

Turkish-backed factions in northern Syria have clashed with Kurdish fighters in several locations over the past week.

‘Beyond the buffer zone’

Nadav Shoshani, a spokesperson for the Israeli military, denied that forces were “advancing toward” Damascus, but acknowledged they were operating in Syria beyond the buffer zone. The Israeli military has insisted that it “is not interfering with the internal events in Syria.”

Katz said in a statement on Monday that Israel was creating a “security zone free of heavy strategic weapons and terrorist infrastructures” in southern Syria, “beyond the buffer zone.”

Voice of the Capital said on Tuesday that Israeli forces had advanced as far as Beqaasem, about 25 kilometers (15.5 miles) from the Syrian capital and several kilometers beyond the Syrian side of the buffer zone. CNN could not independently confirm that claim, but the village lies in the Syrian foothills of Mount Hermon, which Israeli forces captured on Sunday. Mount Hermon is a strategic high point that sits on the border between Syria, Lebanon, and the Golan Heights.

Israeli media:

Israeli army tanks penetrated Syrian territory and became 19 kilometers from the capital, Damascus.

Thanks to Turkey and their dogs!!!

If the money comes from somewhere, then in 2024 I don't think their is a dearth of weapons

From Turkish drones and Chinese options, hell this might even be a great opportunity for Pakistan everything from JF17s to AK tanks or Fatah missile systems,
Turks need badly for themself advanced weapons, doubt that they will able to offer tanks, AD, airplanes and such back boned natured weapons to uncertain Syria.

Israelis know and have admitted that Hezbollah is too big to be destroyed entirely. Israel dealt significant blows to Hezbollah and should 'take the win'. I don't think they have much interest in restarting that front right now.

They aren't interested in completely destroying Hezbollah, they are interested in Land theft of Southern Lebanon and see a window.

Two problems about your sound and logical opinion. First is international position of both respected countries where they are obliged to follow their own interests first before syrian ones, that slows things very much.
Second problem, no muslim country does have surplus capacity at the moment for production of sophisticated platforms or platforms itself excluding some systems of less strategic value for serious army.
Turks need about 5 years to come at that point, at least.
