I am flabbergast. Why these birds are not selling? They have pummelled both India and Iran, proper adversaries, not like some rag tags that Eurofighters, F18s are bombing in Yemen!

I am flabbergast. Why these birds are not selling? They have pummelled both India and Iran, proper adversaries, not like some rag tags that Eurofighters, F18s are bombing in Yemen!

Combat proven beyond any shadow of doubt yet no major orders.

Africa would be the primary market, but they are too poor to buy without generous financing. Also the American and Russian lobbies are stronger than the Pakistani lobbies, especially in South America.

Well, it should have been Iran which should have acted intellegent.
You cant have one neighbor that is supporting you and keeps 1200KM of your border not HOT where you don't have to deploy thousands of soldiers and weapon systems saving you millions.

Pakistan had no option but to respond, Pakistan has/had hot borders with India, Afghanistan, and Iran in the last decade.
Pakistan and Iran had smaller skirmishes on the border but it was usually kept
at down low so you didn't see much fuss being made on retaliation even if Iran apologized to Pakistan on the death of 2 Kids and other kids who were injured this would have gone away.

Just Like India had misfire of a missle couple of years back, they apologised for the mistake and there was no escalation. But Iranian FO and news channels started chest thumping and putting messages that shouldn't have been at the time Pakistan had no chance but to respond just like how IRAN was trying to send a larger message, Pakistan also sent a larger message

I love it but I know this will not end here. Iran will attack again. It’s right time for Pakistanis intelligence to destroy Zainabun brigade inside Pakistan. There are evidences and intelligence have them all. They know how Iran is giving training to youth of pakistan. I am talking about dual nationals whose sympathy lies with Iran but they live in Pakistan. Clean up the mess. These trained people are like sleeper cells.

If Iran attacks again then pakistan should respond immediately and I urge authorities to use cruise missiles. Time to continue these operations. Government should also issue a notification in which it should ask all Iranian dual nationals to go back to Iran. Pakistan should cancel citizenship of Iranian passport holders. They are a danger for Pakistan and might work as sleeper cells. They are a danger for our security.

I'm surprised the Pakistanis responded, but it seems that given the lack of any response from the Iranian military during the strikes, the Iranians may have been informed about the response from Pakistan. Maybe they agreed to a 'tit for tat' against some mud huts and undesirables for both countries on either side of the border.

The problem for both the Iranians and Pakistanis is that these strikes highlight holes in either sides defence capabilities. For the Iranians, this may be the first time Iran has been attacked since the Iran-Iraq war I think? After all the threats by the Israelis and the US, they haven't actually struck Iran itself, maybe now is the opportunity for them to do so?

Does anyone have any credible details about the assets used by Pakistan? I find this sentence intriguing from their press release...

"The precision strikes were carried out using killer drones, rockets, loitering munitions and stand-off weapons"

It seems that the initial strikes (maybe with the stand off weapons and long range rockets) were then monitored for BDA and any survivors from the initial strikes were finished off by the drones and loitering munitions. If so, it means PAF assets must have been in Iranian air space for some considerable time, with no response from the IRIAF or air defence assets - that's very intriguing, given that the Iranian eastern flank was routinely compromised by US assets from Afghanistan and Pakistan for many years.
