Countries with largest Chinese diaspora population

Vietnam: 800k -2 milion
Japan: 900k
South Korea : 840k
Philippines : 1.35 million A fair assessment is that probably, 10% of the Philippine population is ethnic Chinese, and that around 20-30% of the Philippine population have some form of Chinese ancestry. This 1.5% figure would then refer to those with Chinese nationality (PRC or ROC).
Thailand :7-10 million ethnic Chinese. The Thai linguist Luangthongkum claims the share of those having at least partial Chinese ancestry at about 40 percent of the Thai population

I'm surprised the Chinese population in Myanmar is that high. Wa people are great for China interest in Myanmar. They speak Mandarin too not burmese.A large proportion of Vietnamese vocabulary had been borrowed from Chinese during the Tang period. Vietnamese used Chinese characters to write their language up until the early 20th century adoption of latin alphabet during the French indochina rule.

Because the border crossed the Chinese population. The Upper Myanmar was not ruled by Lower Myanmar in history.

Myanmar is one state, but multiple nations.

Well Myanmar, when unified under central rule, as it was intermittently from about the 11th century onward, was quite powerful. So was Siam (Thailand), starting a few centuries later.

I'm surprised the Chinese population is that high in Myanmar and Myanmar has remained so poor.

According to a 2015 presentation by Professor Choi Ho Rim, the contemporary Burmese Chinese are estimated to effectively control approximately 76 percent of the nation's entire economy. In a sense Chinese are still quite wealthy regardless of where they are.Myanmar has been embroiled in armed conflict since 1948, when the country, then known as Burma, gained independence from the United Kingdom. That's why the country still remains poor.

We should invite more Chinese in Pakistan. They would bring development to Pakistan.
