It has obviously hurt the Muslim world to see how Saudi has behaved during ISrael's strikes on Palestine and Lebanon..to add that fashion Kaaba media event incident, Turkey also saved and supported NATO and Israel in their Levant goals and operations. Egypt sold out with complete silence and no gun activity. Only Iran remains steadfast and loyal to its words and values, Hezbollah is a bit bruised, Assad was a skeleton masking as a real Syrian leader, but Yemen is onboard, active and growing. Iran is still intact on the home front, Iran had a setback, but there is no indication Iran has taken a big loss yet.

The Muslim countries have failed to compete in the modern world. The West continues to rule. The Eastern countries like China, Japan, South Korea and others are doing well. India is starting to do better.

So the Muslim countries look for a reason why they have failed. They can blame themselves, their lack of hard work, ethics, meritocracy, respect for individuals, etc.
Or they can blame Islam.
