Hannah Strickline, a resident of Cedar Run Apartments, said she woke up to texts that police were going door to door across the complex. A few minutes later, she heard a knock on her door.

She opened it to find “six heavily armed officers demanding ID.”

After she provided her identification, they asked which of her neighbors might be undocumented.

“It’s insulting and infuriating because I would never snitch on my neighbors,” she said. “They have every right to be here. And I would never want to put anyone through that sort of stress. They just don’t deserve that.”

Strickline has lived in the complex for 14 years and said there was a steep drop in quality of the units when new ownership took over in 2019. Now, conditions are practically unlivable, she said, with mold, pest infestations, lack of hot water and lack of heat. “I feel like that is part of the reason why we’ve ended up here today,” she said.

Strickline said the apartment complex is about 70% Spanish-speaking residents, mostly families with young kids.

These deportations impact 99% poor Latino people. Almost all other smarter nationalities long slipped out the back door months ago and made their moves anticipating all this hoo ha.

Unless yous stupid or criminal, nobody wants to be deported.

Many districts/ hoods in major cities are all third worlded out man…..lol

Monday a handful of illegals tried to block the I5 near downtown San Diego during rush-hour and all they did is piss off commuters but weirdly the woke SDPD with CHP got them off the freeway somewhat quickly however the 4000+ strong San Diego Sheriffs Department was getting ready to role in and haul them off to jail. Here in San Diego our head Sheriff is not effing around she is not obligated to listen to woke mayors and has said will work with ICE.

Good thing about San Diego Sheriff's Department is they can police all of San Diego County that include the cities within the county that have their own mayor and police force.

You're lucky...the Sheriffs in Massachusetts are relegated to just transferring prisoners around. I'm not even sure they can ticket you for jaywalking.

I'm sorry, I find that very hard to believe.

LEA might ask people if they had seen suspicious activity, e.g. drug sales, but not about who is undocumented.

CHP is pretty useless under newsome but was surprised they cleared quickly here in San Diego unlike in LA.

I'm extra fortunate to live in the second largest city in San Diego County called Chula Vista where the Mayor is MAGA and our police force and Sheriffs work together.
 
Why bother? US going to be black/hispanic majority soon anyway. Does US want to trigger civil / race war before that happens?
