Trumps plan will link Ukraines economy with the US.

See? I told all the Russian sycophants here that Ukraine will be aligned with the US economically post war. Strategic minerals, energy, weapons deals etc etc.

Ukraine WILL be a US aligned nation. This is a strategic victory for the US

Here we are, approaching the 3 year mark of the war.

Unless Russia makes a surprise breakthrough on the frontlines, pushing west on strategic cities like Kyiv and Kharkiv, then it’s over.

Russia has lost and it’s time to accept that.

The ones still holding out for the Donbass? You’re grasping at straws at this point. Whether Russia takes it or they don’t. It doesn’t matter, because it changes nothing at the strategic level.

Russia has taken a crippling loss. Never in my dreams did I think this was possible back in February 2022.
I understand your point. Russia has failed to topple/removal Ukrainian regime, even if they keep 20% of Ukraine, it will still face anti Russia 80% of Ukraine which may end up joining Nato. But we still witness Russia standing it's ground, we must accept the world has changed, a few decades ago the west had 90% of world power but today has gone down to 60% and declining, Asia has become alot stronger economy and military levels, this is what is making Russia survive extreme level of sanctions and isolation from the west.

Russia has lost alot, but that's not the point

Countries post war tend to become VERY strong, unless they are destroyed and Russia itself is fine and has minimal damage

It's industry has been orientated towards the military effort, at the moment that equipment and missiles and tanks etc are all being used on the front

As soon as their is a ceasefire or peace, agreement etc then Russian will continue to churn out MASSIVE AMOUNTS of drones, missiles, tanks and jets etc for many years but they will not be used because the war is finished and within 1-5 years Russia will emerge as a absolute BRUTE of a state armed to the teeth, having learnt multiple lessons from the war

None of this is good for the west and Russian enmity towards the west will be renewed

The biggest winner is CHINA,.it's just sitting back letting everyone else act stupid
How has Russian military modernised? If the army has become stronger with better tactics and equipment then we would witness it on the battlefield, the war is stalemate, Ukraine is still able to get supplies. If Russia was effective they would destroy anything that enters Ukraine, destroy all bases, ports etc.

If US is going to war with Canada, US took 20% of Canada and only manage to hold this 20% and then the Canadian capture Detriot. Would you consider this is an American victory?

The problem is, setting aside whether the west help is enough, the war is going to devastated Russia (alongside with Ukraine) for years to come with no strategic change and only around 20% territorial gain. But their internal economy is shot, it's nice to say Russia had 46% of GDP invested in defence, but look at it this way, that mean just 54% of money going to anything else, and defence budget is virtually pointless once this war stopped (assuming the Ukrainian didn't raise an insurgency), you can't scale back the military spending because it is going to take years to rebuild after this war, which mean that 54% or may even be 60% is what it get for the next couple of year on economic and social development in Russia. That's not going to work especially Russia is now having a high interest rate and high inflation combo (Which is what most economist called a death spiral because you usually have 1 but not the other as they are both designed to suppress one another) It is just going to exacerbate either problem and make the situation worse.

If this is how you show strength.........then I wonder what is weakness looks like.

“we are not sending U.S troops to Ukraine”

Yesterdays Quote, from SecDef Pete Hegseth!

Clowns 🤡
The west claims Russian army is destroyed, 80% of the equipment lost, they may aswell send Nato troops and finish this within 6 months. What is stopping them?

I agree with what your saying but Russia is still fighting, economy still going despite the extreme sanctions, it's because they continue to trade with nations other than the west such as India China etc, these 2 nations have huge land, population, economy than Europe, around 20 years ago they were poor nations but today developing nations and trading with Russia, officially and unofficially. Usa/Europe tried their best to pressurise them to stop trading but it failed. The war is certainly a big disaster for Russia, they could not defeat a weaker nation like Ukraine, i wonder how they would fight Nato, no chance of success.

@j_hungary
If you have time can you explain why Russia failed in this war, why they surrounded the capital Kiev within a few weeks but then withdrew, and now moving forward at a snailpace. Is it outdated military weapons, military tactics, lack of cutting edge technologies or Ukraine receiving western weapons are simple too good, also why Russia cannot target the supply line, make sure anything that comes inside Ukraine is bombed, they do have the airforce but not much use. If Russia was Nato, we know very well they would destroy anything that moves in Ukraine, destroy all supply lines, isolate Ukraine, then move in, lastly is it because the war is now just ground war, soldiers fighting slowly and moving forward to take territory.

@Viet
