Because at the end of it all - history even prior to Iranian influence points out to (which thoroughly justified through a moral argument) Palestinians making unrealistic demands which neither they, nor any Arab allies( whom they burnt many times via Arafat’s ego) were capable of supporting militarily nor was the west ready to bend over beyond its facade statements.

Setting aside Arab, Iranian, Western influence and distilling the issue to bare bones we know the Jewish state was/is the source of the conflict and that is the cause of Palestinian suffering. The initial unrealistic demand was by the Jews who wanted the land for themselves. Even now "ethnic cleansing" is an unrealistic demand, the recent ground invasion was unrealistic, stopping humanitarian aid, etc. That is to say unrealistic is just a matter of perspective and at the very least we should not impose that on the victims.

Please share what you mean by "...burnt many times via Arafat's ego..." My statement about Arafat related to his delay in agreeing to the deal. He sought broader Arab agreement. If he had signed first it would have been "a bird in the hand" type of deal.

Now, Iran actively using its proxies for its own interests which may or may not align with that of Palestinians led directly to the situation in Gaza and provided a bloodthirsty hardline Israeli government all the excuse it needed to complete its ethnic cleansing.

West Bank Palestinians who were already living in hell but at least could work and make some living BECAUSE no one least of all the country you live in had the gall to help - now face worse conditions - watching as(ironically to your bravado) workers from India may be imported to work fields on Palestinian lands that at least they could be on prior to this even if it was under the painful watch of an occupying force.

Gaza is likely going to be left in ruins because Hamas (encouraged by Netenyahu who saw them as an frenemy situation to deny two state solutions) pulled off a stunt at the behest of its supporters outside of Gaza.

So a people who were already dying slowly but may have had some minute possibility of a solution based on the hollow strings of the Abraham accords now have no hope because one overseas sponsor decided it wants to stir the pot to sabotage the GCC outreach to Israel.

This latest conflict is a "battle of two tails", often times it was discussed whether the US was leading Jewish state's policy or was the tail wagging the dog. It is the same for Hamas and Iran, I don't believe there is evidence Iran orchestrated or even supported the October 8th attack.

The Jewish state is not helpless to retaliate especially to this degree neither are the Americans to unconditionally support it. It's not the west bank civilians are in a bind because there is no one to help them, they are in this bind because the Jewish state is an apartheid state. Similarly Gaza is not left in ruins because of Hamas' actions. Gaza is in ruins because of the Jewish state's actions.

Whether or not the Abraham accords succeed is not guaranteed. This is opinion but based on how the UAE was treated with their "Abraham accord" and considering the Saudis want "steps" outlined for a Palestinian state and not the acknowledgement of that state by the Jewish state and US it is doubtful they will lead to anything substantial.

Russia has a very good scape goat to not deal with US. Russians can easily say Americans are unable to enforce the ceasefire on the Jewish state why should they trust them to enforce it in Ukraine?

It's in America's and Europe's benefit to ensure this ceasefire holds because they can't beat Russia on the battlefield without the US. Russia also gains more by continuing the war. Lets see what the Arab league proposes - they already accepted the bill. If I was in their place I'd try to get Russians on their side.

Israel would absolutely attack Egypt in the process if it attempts ethnically cleansing Gaza. There's no way around it. Egyptians can uphold their side of the peace treaty and that won't prevent Jewish aggression against them.
