Back in the '70s and up to 1982,the coup was still fresh. The Muslim Brotherhood just wanted to have their way.

Now I'm not saying destroying the entire city and looting and killing people indiscriminately is justified. No. But did you see what happened? What the Muslim Brotherhood did? What kind of a response would the government give? They started a guerilla war and spread around the entire city.

You're still justifying the unjustified.
In a place where only ones might will allow power to change hand... how else you expect it to go down.

There are way too many factors of which I laid a few down in the first post.
Order has to return and equity restored. In a diverse place such as Syria... belligerents and troublemakers will keep inciting fires... stoking hatred. It will take some time to settle and prying eyes to divert attention from fomenting trouble.

830 Alawis were victims of the crimes of HTS terrorists

The Syrian Observatory reported that according to new statistics, at least 830 Alawite civilians were killed by the terrorists ruling Damascus over the past few days in the western regions of Syria.

Sad thing when civilians die but let’s be honest and not manipulate things most killings of civilians in this current phase are being done by hts members this isn’t some kind of propaganda or fake news led by Iran or anyone else all you need to do is watch the videos streaming out of Syria evil is evil and hopefully sane people will rise up and confront those evil on both sides. I honestly don’t get how many people controlling parts of Syria are jihadists from all over the world and you can still say these guys are the good guys……..I’m thinking people are now starting to think an autocratic regime that didn’t care for its people is better than what’s to come

Lets correct a few things.

These elements that carried out these crimes were not from HTS and the Damascus chain of command, but from different rebel groups and many random people who just took it upon themselves to go to Latakia and start killing people in revenge attacks for the initial attacks/ambushes done by Shabiha.

Secondly, these crimes happened, no one is denying that they crimes didn't happen, the Govt itself has acknowledged that they took place. The new govt has placed several restrictions on people from outside the province from accessing the province as a safety measure to restore order. They have also arrested many of the people identified in the criminality.

Also, Assad was not a "good guy", he committed far more heinous things and those are widely documented. People who suggest Assad was somehow "less worse" don't deserve to be taken seriously b/c looking at things empirically he has a bigger body count and far larger atrocities and deaths committed against Civilians.

Ahmed al-Sharaa has tasked a legal committee to investigate events on Syrian Coast. Of the 7 members: two Alawites & one woman. Something Assad would have never done. No one from Assad's regime held anyone in the Shabiha accountable nor those that ran Sednaya torture and rape chambers.

You should also acknowledge the actions of the Shabiha that literally are going around killing people b/c the License plate says Idlib or various other provocations like attacking hospitals and slaughtering people there. Even threatening other Alawites who refuse to aid them in their insurgency or have offered support to the New Govt.

Never said Assad was a good guy lol far from it he should have stepped down during the Arab spring and I’m sure his name would have gone done in Syrian history for the better yeah sorry many of the killings are done by hts and groups that are now under their control you can spin it anyway you want.

The people who did this are outside the chain of command of damacus, the State does not currently have a "monopoly on violence" there are all sorts of people that have guns and many of them(incuding the shabiha) are going around doing whatever. the Govt is still working to consolidate control.

The Muslim Brotherhood has been causing trouble in the region ever since it appeared. They were trouble in Egypt, in Syria,in Palestine,in Turkey,in Lebanon. Everywhere they appear,they start trouble.
