Breaking News: US Delivers First F-16V Fighter Jet to Taiwan to Boost Air Defense Against China Threats

Taiwan's semiconductors are just OEM products, and the equipment and raw materials are all from abroad. Taiwan only provides the factory buildings and labor. It is not difficult for Taiwan's semiconductors to be copied.

The United States has imposed sanctions on China's semiconductor industry for seven years, but has not stopped the development of China's semiconductors. In 2024, China's chip exports reached 298.11 billion units, and the export value reached US$159.4991 billion. China's lithography machines are already in the trial production stage.
Regardless, TSMC is replicating all of it's Taiwan-based production here in Arizona. One fab is already in production. The second is still in commissioning.

Editing to add: Three additional fabs and two packaging plants will be built here as well. Once complete, that should be a full mirror of what is in Taiwan today.

huh, try OEM 2nm chip, and then maybe we talk?

Dude, do you know if Taiwan stopped shipping their chipset tomorrow, you don't need China, the world is going to invade Taiwan. the world best other chip set is currently 5nm in Korea, and that is nowhere near as sophisticated as TSMC last generation 3nm chipset which can be found in GPUs, CPUs, and most other stuff.

TSMC is the elephant in the room. TSMC has fabrication plants in China and TSMC engineers have a role in developing Chinese semi-conductive industry. However, TSMC is still the king and others are not even close:

TSMC is now creating fabrication plants in the US. The first fabrication plant is almost complete in Arizona but other plants will be completed much later.

War in Taiwan can trigger a global crisis on a level not seen before because TSMC has no substitute in another country that can meet global computing needs.

Seven years after the US sanctions, Huawei will produce 5nm chips and assemble them in Huawei phones.

China's EUV lithography machine has been trial-producing 3nm chips in the laboratory

In fact, this data is difficult to understand. The world's semiconductor output value in 2024 is more than 600 billion US dollars, and TSMC's turnover in 2024 is 90 billion US dollars. I am not sure why TSMC occupies more than 60% of the share in the table?

That is not an EUV lithography machine, but rather an "EUV Lithography Objective Assembly Interferometer" (it's literally stated right there on the machine). It is used for testing and assembling optical components for EUV lithography systems, not for performing actual lithography.

I updated post #92. 1st fab is in production, 2nd in in commissioning, the 3rd is still under construction.

With TSMC's recent announcement to expand its AZ footprint, that will bring the campus to 6 fabs and 2 state of the art packaging facilities. That does not even include its footprint in Washington state.

Of course, China's Northern Theater's navy and air force can launch attacks on Japan and South Korea.

The Eastern Theater is responsible for the Taiwan Strait, and the Southern Theater is responsible for the South China Sea.

The three theaters have more than 150 destroyers and frigates and 1,500 fighter jets.
And those 150 destroyers and frigates has to divide to face the enemies from multiple directions, that's weakens your force structure/tactic management

lol, first of all, trial is NOT OEM, OEM is of production quality, it's after the main production, Trial is trial.

Second, Chinese chip are even lower quality than Korean's SK hynix, and you think Chinese chips can even compare to the quality and quantity of the like of TSMC?

And congrats, now China is at pre-2020 level producing 5nm chips, 2020 calls and they wanted their chip back.

Dude, I don't know what have you been smoking, but it's seems like too strong for you

because you are comparing turnover to revenue.....

You can build an IC from another (or group of other IC) the revenue counted ALL market, while turnover only counted how much was sold by a particular company.

For example, an revenue of an intel CPU for $300 using TSMC IC worth $40 would have credited to intel because intel sold that CPU, however, TSMC sold that IC chipset to Intel so that market share belongs to TSMC. Because that wasn't an Intel own's IC, they were using TSMC fab.

F-16 is good for the 1980s but today it is quite outdated even when compared to J-20.

Do you have new proof that US changed this policy? you troll, you are delibrately lying on this matter.

Can any other province of China have oen flag , elect own president, or build own advanced armed forces, or allow someone to enter even if CCP doesn't want that person ?

You can be happy with some worthless statement, reality is different.
