I don't think, in the current geopolitical environment, Pakistan can be isolated. The world is moving rapidly toward blocks and Pakistan is too powerful to be ignored. It is not a bravado, it is based on the number of foreign engagements Pakistan is having. Even the Americans are engaging.
As for India's modis operandi, indeed, they do that. It was before the time of most here but I think they staged some airplane hijacking in the early 1970s to shut down the air route between the then East and West Pakistan to prepare for the 1971 war in the East Pakistan.
