That will have no impact of Pakistan, when China is there. More over because of Pakistan's strategic location and tariff war between USA and china, both parties will try to have Pakistan on their side. uSa cannot and will not pass such laws.

You are violator of an internationally brokered and signed treaty buddy. I don't need lengthy sermons from you.
Please check another posted one - actually India does not need to violate the treaty because it's already having loophole.

Anyway I said multiple times, water belongs to everyone and Pakistani has every rights to get it's shared waters.

Only I have posted - what are the possibilities and loophole....

Ok….

You clearly don’t understand the power of madness … some times you just need a little push.

This imagined loophole was not used through wars, nuclear testing and other volatile scenarios

Given the immediate, abrupt and unilateral ending of the ivt from Indias side any loophole point is an irrelevant arguement

India did not even formally bother to argue the loophole, they just ended the treaty

If you believed in the "loophole" you could have argued it first

That would leave India looking much better, state your case.

What sense are you guys (Pakistani and Indian) are getting over there? Is there a sense that some conflict is going to start and escalate or a nothing burger more likely?

He is accepting the Indian accusation that Pakistan is responsible for this attack. We should not promote this narrative.

Embrace your Indian identity.
We won't judge you.

This is a safe space.

Since you’re not aware—I believe it’s important to clarify.

Yes, there could be sanctions or minor reputational damage—but then what?

Anyway, I’m not advocating for any of that or need to move from treaty, because Everyone has a right to water, and I’m simply saying that things aren't as settled as some people might think.

If pushed to the extreme, India could consider moving away from the treaty, citing terrorism and national security as reasons. Let’s be honest—organizations like the World Bank and the UN are largely ineffective in such situations. All India would need is support from one veto-wielding member, and nothing substantial would happen against it. Even if the World Bank imposed sanctions, the impact would likely be minimal.

I'm just giving an example—nothing is off the table when it comes to international politics & own national interests
The right of down stream countries over the river water is not linked to any conditions, terrorism, or national security. It is the basic right of all humans, populations, and nations without requiring any justification. If India breaks the treaty or even tries to blackmail Pakistan, we have the will, resources, and power to cripple India as a state and forcefully get our water. There is no compromise on our lifeline. If Indians have any doubts about it, they can happily try and test their stupidity even now by cancelling this treaty.

Exactly

Democracy restored means internally bleed on PTI Vs army.....

That can happen, but right now?

ISLAMABAD/LAHORE: Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has immediately closed Pakistan’s airspace for Indian aircraft soon after the NSC decision.

“Pakistan airspace not available for Indian registered aircraft and operated/ owned and leased by the Indian Airlines including military flights,” read a message on the Notices for Airmen (NOTAMS) on PCAA official website.

According to NOTAMS, the directives will be effective initially for one month starting from 1230 hours on April 24, 2025 to 2359 Hours on May 23, 2025.

According to aviation experts, the closure of airspace could cost Indian carriers up to $500 million within a month.

Senior aviation journalist Tahir Imran Mian said that on the day the airspace was sealed, around 50 Indian flights were either transiting or scheduled to transit through Pakistan.

On an average, 200 to 300 Indian flights use Pakistan’s airspace daily. The affected carriers include Air India, Air India Express, IndiGo, SpiceJet and Akasa Air, which operate between 70 to 80 round-trip international flights through Pakistani airspace every day. These flights originate from key Indian cities such as Mumbai, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Lucknow and Goa.

The closure is expected to add approximately two hours of additional travel time per flight, significantly increasing fuel consumption and operational costs.

I wont be surprised if India mandates all carriers avoid Pakistan airspace if flying to and from India to level the playing field..
