Pakistan doesn't have any clout to cash in by going to other countries. It is India which runs to other countries for support and validations, perhaps reminding them of trade/commerce. So you got that wrong.
But China is a main factor here and China is sitting on top of Ladakh and your stupid Prime Minister has undid decades of constructive diplomacy with China to the point of shedding each others' blood. And Pakistan and China's strategic interests align.
