During the visit, Erdogan reiterated Türkiye’s strong support for Pakistan on the Kashmir issue, emphasizing Ankara’s consistent stance over the years. His remarks drew sharp criticism from Indian officials, further straining Türkiye-India relations when tensions over Kashmir were already high.

“The Kashmir issue should be addressed according to the U.N. resolution through dialogue and keeping in mind the aspirations of the people of Kashmir,” Erdogan said.

Almost a week after Erdogan’s address, New Delhi described his remarks as “unwarranted” and said they were “unacceptable” concerning India’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. India also stated that it had lodged a “strong protest” with the Turkish ambassador.

The recent visit by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the latest phone call between the two countries’ foreign ministers highlight a clear reality: Türkiye and Pakistan are closely aligned and consistently stand by each other during periods of heightened tension.

Basically, Türkiye's Kashmir policy is more or less shaped by Islamabad; similar to how Baku defines our relationship with Armenia.

It is remarkable how much support Türkiye extends to its allies after they have demonstrated their reliability during both favorable and challenging circumstances; and Pakistan stick with us from the very first moment regardless of who was in charge.

make a deal with India. Withdraw from Kashmir and Pakistan will absorb all Indian Muslims. Pakistan gets Kashmir and India fixes its "Islam" problem, win win:ROFLMAO:

Right. And Indians have known for at least the 2-3 decades that the net loss to the Indian economy will be far larger than the losses to the Pakistani economy, which came close to 'default' barely 2-3 years ago. In a prolong war, in a war of attrition, the stronger economy suffers a lot worse. The ongoing Gaza/Yemen vs Israel conflict shows that and it took the immense American support to keep Israel afloat.
The Gazans and Yemenese , with respect, didn't have much to lose , so that was their strategy

Still Pakistani have more to lose, and who says they are willing to lose it all just so Indians Can lose a bit more?

Downward Spiral, what next

Study how Palestinians got weakened, not necessarily their resistance, you don't want to be anywhere near that really

There are differences here in national temperament, our Chinese co-forummer first response was start finding some technical solutions, which btw could have been done since ages

The war posture is indeed necessary but time to really really start valuing planning and infrastructure and human development as much as weapons

Non-sense. India's relations are based on purely commercial reasons. I can't take away from India's economic clout in international matters. But some countries had and still help Pakistan based on genuine, historic connections, otherwise what has Pakistan to give them back? I don't buy the 'nuclear umbrella' theory that Pakistan might provide. Turkey is a stark example of self-less friendship: Turkey puts its neck out for a near-broke Pakistan against India. Similarly, the Chinese have not forgotten that Pakistan tried to helped the fledging wartorn new nation of China even though Pakistan was in the western block.
To India and Indians: Everything is transactional! That may have made you successful 'businessmen' but 'businessmen' is all you remain.
International relations are not about emotion, we expect a Nietzsche'an? to know that well.

Dig deep enough and you'll quick come to the realization that much like the cash cow that India is to the west (for now), you too, are no more than a cash (or skorti) cow to the Chinese.

They all milking it, the Indo-Pak cow.

People running the show either side are happy to go along, takes the heat off themselves.

We're all guinea pigs in this experiment, spl us desis.

They're all out to exploit the great Indo-Pak divide, happy hunting ground for the sharks.

You don't see a lot of Indians, retarded as many of them are.. scream their lungs out about some special fraandship with the US or anyone.

They do go 'phull sapport Ijrael!' on the regular, but I strongly suspect much of that is to do with our internal dynamics.. the Musalmans turn up in their tens of thousands to protest

Study in 'relative' terms. Yes, Pakistan has a lot more to lose than Gazans/Yemenis but India will have much larger to lose than Pakistan: Decades of India's growth, business confidence, investors, foreign interests, tourism etc would be lost. Advantage China.
BTW, I have yet to advocate in this thread that Pakistan to launch some pre-emptive strike. I have carefully used 'if push comes to shove' like caveats. BUT I have suggested a strategy to conduct that full war, should it happen, in such a way to avoid the nuclear threshold, which will be a modified version of Operation Gibraltar 1965 except this time the options for Pakistan would be in a 'do or die' situation and this time there will be much more support in IOK. And I stand by that strategy.

Actually, emotions, civilizational, religious, ethnic ties still play a HUGE role in international relations. Human beings are not some robots. There are countless examples even in the modern world where alliances are formed along real or perceived 'shared values'. But I do agree with you that China gets a lot of 'bang for its bucks' in the India-Pakistan rivalry but I won't blame China for that.

Turkey is set to be a big player in south Asia with Bangladesh too

Seemingly it is unconcerned by India , which will significantly upset the Indians

The battle tested Turkish weapons suggest India are not so confident in their own tactics

Yes lets have our own trojan horse moment. No thanks.

They will all go to Kashmir, Punjab and Sindh. They won't become the enemy within, they will have found their ideological home. Our Muhajirs are the strongest patriots.

The journey from another land becomes a pilgrimage of sorts. It becomes spiritual. Which is why Pakistan is such a special country.

In these moments I do wish the Pakhtun and Baloch join the party more. They should be eyeing territory in Afghanistan and Iran and reverse uno their situation. The Federation must keep growing.

You would rather start a war then de-escalate, you need to grow up.
no, man.. peacenik mostly here.

war may be worse for Pakistan than for India but we'll both suffer, not even talking about nukes

and will push any hopes of a peace even further back than now, when its already looking impossible (which has been default setting since the late 40s)

best case scenario is India does a sweep, cleans up good internally, and we return to a semblance of normalcy.

Pak is fauj run, though.. their ratings are terrible, as Trump would say..motive for stirring xhit ka case is strong.. nothing like the K candy to get everyone to fall in line.. big bad gangou oppressor, same like the Jew, poor Kashmiris living under a brutal occupation.. all the usual bs

lets see where this goes, but its most likely fizzling out, already has, in fact.

log desensitize ho gae hain, Gaza and Ukraine ka dekh dekh k maybe.

On April 27, 2025 local time, Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister, had a telephone conversation with Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dar at the latter's request.

Dar briefed on the latest situation of tensions between Pakistan and India due to the terrorist attack in Kashmir, saying that Pakistan has always been resolute in combating terrorism and opposed taking actions that may lead to escalation of the situation. Pakistan is committed to managing the situation in a mature manner and will maintain communication with China and the international community.

Wang Yi said that China is closely following the development of the current situation. Fighting terrorism is the common responsibility of all countries in the world. China has always supported Pakistan in its resolute anti-terrorism actions. As a staunch friend and all-weather strategic partner, China fully understands Pakistan's reasonable security concerns and supports Pakistan in safeguarding its sovereignty and security interests. China supports an impartial investigation as soon as possible. The conflict is not in the fundamental interests of India and Pakistan, nor is it conducive to regional peace and stability. It is hoped that both sides will exercise restraint, meet each other halfway, and promote de-escalation of the situation.
