It could have been the case that Pakistani air defence wasn't in full operational readiness in 2022 when India mistakenly fired a BrahMos missile into Pakistan, but that couldn't have been the case last night...

Yaar I literally said exact same thing, its a God give opportunity for Pakistan to hit the dams, doesn't have to destroy them cause the water will rush towards Pakistan but strikes on dams and damaging them will send a clear message to both India and International community that water is a red line.
Now Pakistani media/ISPR reported Pakistani dam was hit, so I see no reason for Pakistan to hold back, we already have top official claiming that we will hit dams if Pakistan's water is stopped, I don't know if Pakistan will respond or not and what will be the extend of their retaliation, but if enemy sense weakness from us than not even Indians but Afghans/Iranians will be attacking us in future.
