Agreed, we all want more but PAF has delivered once in a generation performance. I have not heard of 5 jets shot down in a single night, in Ukraine, Gaza, Yemen, Iraq, Afghan, or any other war.

I have read reports of there being panic and unbelief in Indian quarters, about how Pakistan is managing to swat down their planes like flies.

Basically saying it's very likely that a loss occurred, but they're not surprised because Pakistani pilots and air defense were on high alert, while India didn't bother targeting Pakistani air defense to avoid escalation. They also say that they're interested in the Chinese EW signals that were used to targe the Rafale/Mirage systems, and how Spectra was used by the Indian side.

Honestly, just reads like a cope post.

yera! for larger aircrafts China has other missiles like PL17 or 21. PL15 isn't for that.
Just so let you know, PAF scored that Su30 kill in op. swift retort in 2019 by a range of 80 km that was a record back then well beyond NEZ of AIM120C-5. Previous record was of 60km by same missile in 2003 Iraq war by USAF. Again well beyond its NEZ.
NEZ entails the increased chances of a hit. And when you got incompetent air forces fighting against you like Iraqi Airforce and now this IAF then the kills well beyond NEZ becomes a good possibility. Even that R37M kill was also well beyond its NEZ. The adv. with PL15 is that nobody knows its true range beyond China and a select few in PAF AHQ. Even the pilots who launched PL15 in this battle didnt know its real range. And i therefore seriously doubt anyone in west will ever know, and since they dont know its true range, their NEZ calculations of PL15 is also based on guess work and connect the dots theory.
There is reason why PL15 has dual pulse motors and has its own mini AESA in her seeker to guide her independently to the target. This fire n forget autonomy (doesn't need AWACS, Link 17 guidance) point at something.
That's why i said use yr head! don't believe everything you learn through internet blindly.

Yeah, bombing defenseless countries and calling it “battle proven” fraud doesn’t work.

Because this recent uptick will settle down soon enough to return to the regularly scheduled program of low grade poking by proxies on both sides, until the next paroxysm.

I don't think the Rafale is the problem. It's a great 4.5 gen fighter jet, but what it comes down to is training and preparedness. This entire ordeal proves that 2019 was not a fluke, and India's airforce is completely unprepared to take on the Pakistani air force, despite outnumbered the PAF inventory 3 to 1 when it comes to 4th gen aircraft.

If Pakistan's side is to be believed, Pakistan had 27 fighters in the air, while India had 70 to 80, and yet Pakistan experienced zero losses, while India lost at least 3 by their own admission, but likely lost 5 to 7. If Pakistan is to be further believed, it could have shot down 10 more, but refrained from doing so.

Either way, this entire situation proves the Indian air force is now a paper tiger, and is nowhere near as ready as it was decades ago.
