I just think we should try to contain the threat to the point that India would not have the same success doing itWhat is serious?
What is done is generally with available funds - systems are selected to close gaps best possible - tactics applied.
You’re expecting Israel results without the economy or billions in aid and without counting for inefficiency/dishonesty in the procurement system itself.
Various news articles. Its a talking point in international defense discussions now. Assessment in this clip makes one of the very much likely the case.Based on what?

To those Indians here trying to downplay the destructive, counter productive, lying narrative of the Gestapo Godi Modi, the damage was not significant but I believe the damage globally was just as significant, if not more, as Pakistan downing several Indian jets.
Its a trisonic missile travelling at low altitude - there is only so much you throw at it in your limited budget and you did a decent jobs considering it all.I just think we should try to contain the threat to the point that India would not have the same success doing it
that would be 'distortion' yielding 'bigger in-efficiency'!!!!I just think we should try to contain the threat to the point that India would not have the same success doing it
This is not specific to PL-15, all modern day BVRAAM's have sensors which share such info through datalink with the launch aircraft.May I know how you know this about the PL-15?
you mean, There were losses initially and we made tactical mistakes, later we fixed those and came back....!!!!This is not specific to PL-15, all modern day BVRAAM's have sensors which share such info through datalink with the launch aircraft.
Like I said, the reason we claimed 5-0 was not out of thin air, it was based on data.
Also we launched much higher number of PL15s on the night of 6/7, these 5 were the one's that gave back a "Hit confirmation" along with aircraft signature.
I know another very interesting fact about the 7 second window and why the IAF jets were not able to take evasive action, though I don't know if this will be an operational secret or not so I will refrain from sharing.
Let's just say PL-15 performed beyond it's perceived capabilities, poor Indians thinking we had the "Export Version".

Please note that Indian soldiers raised white flags at many Indian military posts at the border and ceasefire line many days before Indian attack of 7th of May.True. Army only carried out limited actions, only after Air chief showed courage, when his air based were hit.
Guess who got promoted?
6-0 claimed (jets)Is it 5-0 or 6-0 at the end of the day? (Not counting the Large UAV) just the jets.
I'm very sure our Fatah's and PAF hit targets at their bases which resulted in alot of their "assets" being damaged or lost completely. I'm sure the number of jets lost is more than 10.werent you saying in a previous post over 36 assets were destroyed in our operation?! if thats true thats crazy
Hope we sat images soon
Yup, a retd Air Marshal said a total of 50-60 BVRs were fired. I do not know if those were fired only by PAF or collectively (total) by both sidesThis is not specific to PL-15, all modern day BVRAAM's have sensors which share such info through datalink with the launch aircraft.

i think its best to not let out all the secrets so soon, as it can affect ongoing operations and sensationalism. My cousin serving in PAF even after my insisting he did not said much.
