I having worked with a large number of Chinese suppliers of various industrial systems, even the OEMs themselves can get their identification of critical and non-critical spares wrong.
Currently PAF only has 20x J-10CE and doesn't need many spares. “Depot level maintenance” creates a lot of unnecessary expense.Brand new aircraft have that - eventually has age settles in it will get worse.
However, if CAC is able to transfer more depot level maintenance to Kamra the serviceability will stay at JF-17 levels at around 70-80%.
It is a simple tired and test formula for reliability of any complex system, keep as many spares as you can.I agree, but I suspect that China will do a 100x fold better job of providing spares to Pakistan than Russia will do for India.
But picture of City appear old as many building seems missing, which lead us to the conclusion that aircraft is superimposed on the picture hence it's doctoredKarachi, Dolmen clifton and Mc Donalds park at the end of Khyabane Shamsheer visible.
which buildings? If you are referring to the two empty plots near mc donalds, those have been empty for since as far as I can remember. Bahria tower is relatively new and present. But picture of City appear old as many building seems missing, which lead us to the conclusion that aircraft is superimposed on the picture hence it's doctored
Yes plots are empty since ages, look at the picture again, many restaurants at beach are missing like chaupal, chanky monkey and others are not visible.which buildings? The SU-30MKi is not comparable to the J-16, the J-16 uses radar absorbing materials reducing its RCS, also since it's the Indian military we will likely see SU-30s being upgraded sometime during the 2050s
India AESA radars and BVR missiles are unproven and given their overall manufacturing/industrial prowess, I'd wager performance would be an issue. The Su-30MKI will be a formidable and dangerous opponent after its newer upgrades, do not underestimate it.
Just so that you are aware, China flies hundreds of flankers, and it's J-16 is a beast.
Once the Indians kit it out with their homegrown AESA/EW kits, it will be a threat. Never underestimate your enemy, better to overestimate and be over prepared during war.
No professional military can operate on the assumption or hopes that the opponents equipment will underperform, you should overestimate them if anything.India AESA radars and BVR missiles are unproven and given their overall manufacturing/industrial prowess, I'd wager performance would be an issue.
Secondly and more importantly, would these raptors of the East carry anything on par with PL-15 leave alone PL-17. It will still be outgunned no matter how many revisions of ASTRA indians slap on it.
The PAF officer with beard seems to be the person who appeared in an airforce drama serial .
We don't have unlimited funds to match or better India on every conventional platform lest we are ready to follow the path of USSR.No professional military can operate on the assumption or hopes that the opponents equipment will underperform, you should overestimate them if anything.
The smart option will be to take the paper specs as a bare minimum.
Plus as time goes on technology is becoming more and more mature and 'democratised' a if you have enough funds to pour into R&D, so they will have equivalents eventually
That's true but it also doesn't invalidate my point, it just means Pakistan will be a smaller equipped force focused on deterrence/defensive posture. We don't have unlimited funds to match or better India on every conventional platform lest we are ready to follow the path of USSR.
