Here's what the L.A. Sheriff's Department had to say about the situation in Paramount in a statement sent to LAist at 2:30 a.m. Sunday:
"Two deputies were injured and transported to a local area hospital for non-life threatening injuries and released. We have not been informed of any specific injuries to protestors. It was confirmed there was one car burned (Hyundai).
"Several people were detained, however, at this time there has been one confirmed arrest (unknown charges).
"There was a fire at a local strip mall that was quickly extinguished. The extent of the damage is unknown at this time.
"Acts of violence witnessed were fireworks and bottles being thrown.
"We were told the National Guard is being deployed, however they are not in the area/on the ground as of yet. There is no coordinated plan(s) as of now."

In 2022, California had a total of 2304 homicides to Alabama's 706.
Odd, California's total homicides that year are 3X those of Alabama.

It’s telling that instead of addressing the actual case of Garcia, where our debate/exchange of opinions began, you’ve pivoted to a broad accusation about Democrats and border security. My argument was never a defense of Biden’s immigration policy; it was specifically about Garcia’s case and the legal rulings that were ignored.
On the immigration, you claimed 14 million people entering during Biden’s term, I’m simply asking again, what is your source? You keep throwing out these inflated figures, yet you still haven’t provided any factual basis for them. So I ask again, what is your source?
The rest of your post consists of typical Republican talking points, which I strongly believe are rooted in conspiracy rather than evidence. I could easily debunk those claims, but first, let’s resolve the immigration number you’re asserting.
Since your entire post failed to mention Garcia’s case, I take that as an admission that the debate on that matter is closed.

The raw numbers alone don’t tell the full story, what really matters is the homicide rate per capita.
In 2022, California had 4.95 homicides per 100,000 people, while Alabama had 10.3 homicides per 100,000 people.
Even according to the data that you just posted, Alabama's homicide rate is twice that of California. So while California had a higher total number of homicides, Alabama’s homicide rate was significantly higher when adjusted for population size. This means Alabama had a much greater risk of homicide per resident compared to California.

Well, actually, when someone makes a claim, it's their responsibility to provide a credible source. You've asserted that 14 million people entered the country during Biden’s term, yet you haven't provided any verifiable data to support this number.
I noticed that you're calling me son, but I'm not sure if you're using it in a condescending way or simply addressing me because you assume you're older than me. If he is being brought back to the US, he is NEVER going to be deported.
My wife said, once Abrego-Garcia was brought back to the US, his legal team is going to file a Habeas Corpus violation in Federal Court if they had not done it already, the event of his Forcible Deportation precede Bondi charging him on his case, so that Habeas Corpus thing will most likely be heard first, and that's not a good preview when the Supreme Court stating 9 : 0 deporting him was a mistake and order the admin to bring him back, which mean he is going to be given a U visa for that and he got to stay because he is a victim of this civil right violation from the government.
If Trump wants him to stay away, he should have left him in El Salvador. If he were brought back, the first thing his lawyer is going to do is file a case against the US Government.
He is NEVER going to be deported, even if Bondi Human Trafficking charge sticks, that's itself is going to be hard, because that case is seriously tainted. In fact, my wife even points out there are "Potential" double jeopardy issue involved, because he was already sentenced, I mean he was jailed and already been deported, the term for Double Jeapardy is "be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb.", this is beyond Jeapardy when you had already served your sentence, you can't technically try him again and sentence him again unless there is some appellate input. Otherwise, the government would need to admit they hold someone and sentence someone without a trial or tribunal.

It seems like Trump is finally recognizing the flaws in his harsh deportation policies, as they are disrupting industries that rely on immigrant labor, such as farming and hospitality. Despite his strong stance on bringing jobs back to America, his own businesses have consistently hired Hispanic and Mexican workers, especially for his golf courses and hotels.
Rather than granting citizenship or green cards, a more practical approach would be issuing work permits to immigrants who have lived and worked in the U.S. for a certain number of years. This would allow them to continue contributing to the economy, pay taxes, and travel freely between their home countries and the U.S. without facing deportation. Trump's own hiring practices demonstrate the necessity of such a system.
Btw, Governor Gavin Newsom was right, he told Trump this directly in a phone call, but at the time, Trump was unwilling to listen. Fortunately, it's never too late to correct mistakes. Let's hope for the best.

In many cases the Criminals allowed into our Country by the VERY Stupid Biden Open Borders Policy are applying for those jobs. This is not good. We must protect our Farmers, but get the CRIMINALS OUT OF THE USA. Changes are coming!
