Those neighbors are historically anti-Iranian, pro-Iranian groups are nit proxies in real meaning, they have Iran as only possible source of material support, Iran avoided fighting on own land, Iran has not any active enemy among neighbors except Israel.

Ballistic missiles are kinda obsolete now to be honest. Israel is small so it is bound to hit something but again if your aim is randomly hitting targets then it's okay, for specialised targets it's shit. It's rocket artillery with big boom.

I don't want to toot my own horns, but many years ago on this site I had some conversations with Iranian members, I told them their airforce should conduct exercises with friendly countries such as Pakistan or even China to understand modern air combat. I told them they're seriously lacking in avionics and EW.

Our Iranian friends argued with me, saying everything is ok, Iran can manufacture modern avionics and missiles themselves and their F-14 is the best.....

After 2020 Soleimani assassination, I came here and said Iran needs to obtain nuclear weapons asap. Our Iranian friends told me Iran does not need nuclear weapons because US is divesting from ME....

Somehow I don't think their problems is solely with their incompetent leaders

You have to understand that other than a few posters here, most of the people who post here are pro-regime supporters.

We have few independent posters here. Iranians usually think incredibly different from the majority of people who post here.

The irony is that they are celebrating Iranian deaths. I’ll admit that not all do, and there are still some who are sympathetic towards Iran and won’t forget all the help and support they received from us. But they are a very small minority

All military powers in the world spend most of their money on their air force. And here we had idiots who said we cannot afford an air force. So, we should create proxy groups. Where are these proxy groups now?

@Persian Gulf and I had this exact conversation a week before the war. He said I was being stubborn for not accepting that our investment on regional proxies, instead of an air force, was nothing but a huge disaster.

How would AF be useful in this situation?

You've got IDF F-15's launching aero-ballistic missiles from 250/ 300 miles away over Iraq/ Syria which have ballistic trajectories and then a vert dive near target and then turning home.

How do you intend to intercept these aero-ballistic missiles or FTM go up against USAF aircraft operating out of NE Syria Al-Omar or the Al-Assad bases?

A military coup right now would probably have decent support. even some conservatives may support it

This is just a deception tactic by Israel, they will lull Iran to another false sense of security so that Iran lowers its offensive tempo, then continue bombing Iran all the way till 2 weeks.

I think they want help from their Western allies to stop the Iranian ballistic attacks. They are not used to seeing Tel Aviv being hit hard.
