Not really a fun fact here. When elements of the AZ Guard were called up for OIF (2006-07), had to make damn sure everyone qualified with their rifles. PT quals went out the window but if you didn't qualify with your rifle you didn't deploy with your unit until you did.

Since the first call ups were mostly Transportation and MPs, most of the 88Bs probably hadn't fired a rifle since basic.

The MPs were fine.

Iran seems to be going for Tit for Tat. Israel attacked an oilfield today, so that is why they decided to go for their Oil Refinery. Which is pretty insane. Why would you wait for escalation when the other side has just declared an open war anyway. As you said, Iran should just go for whatever can hurt Israel bad. Its not like Israel is gonna keep their gloves off either.

A tit for tat is a silly military strategy. I dont think Iran knows "how" to fight a war. Agree - Iran has to attack what hurts Israel now, and waste time on universities, or other low value targets.
