Lesson 1: Have an airforce
That'd be all
That's a good lesson...I fully agree. Used to debate Iranian members
(the gloating types who used to badmouth Pakistan as a backward third world shit hole) about how they should build an airforce...
...and I used to get almost comical Indian types of replies...ranging from...
- Iranian F14s are super duper upgraded by Iran itself
- Iran is a drone superpower and that's the future of combat
- Iran has so many kamikaze drones and ballistic missiles that it can neutralize Israel's aircrafts on the ground before they even take off(or when they eventually land).
- Iran's air defense systems are amazing.
I'm less concerned about the tactics and strategy used in this conflict...I'm thinking more long term once this concludes...
The lesson I would like to point out for Pakistani members...
...if u look at the map... geographically from Israel all the way to Pakistan. It's Israel, Syria, Iraq, Iran, and then Pakistan.
Now generally I'm not the type of guy who yells "yahoodi saazish" if the wind blows a little too hard...
...but I do notice trends. The trend here...
we saw...how Syria was incapacitated throughout the decades...to the point where it is a non factor now(to Israel) militarily speaking.
Iraq used to be strong... militarily and economically...
...in that case too ...we saw what happened and where Iraq stands today...in a military capacity. At most it would pose a minor annoyance...if not outright a non factor like Syria.
...next major obstacle in line is Iran(efforts are underway to dismantle that obstacle by hook or by crook).
- Syria attempted to pursue nuclear weapons...
- Iraq attempted to pursue nuclear weapons...
- Libya attempted to pursue nuclear weapons...
...all these countries are non factors today.
- Egypt and GCC are also non factors...rich(and possibly strong)...but not much in the way of opposition.
..so if Iran...is to go the way of Syria...would it put Pakistan next on the hit list? What steps should Pakistan take for the long term?
...are we seeing it play out in front of our eyes...what Dr. Israr used to say in his lectures decades ago?(I can link those here but they are mostly in urdu). Please tag other members
