Why Iran had such a massive intelligence failure that Israeli agents went so deep and well established all over Iran?
This didn't happen overnight.

Israel may want to end it in a week, it will be interesting if Iran will end it then or carry on for a while to establish its own new norm.
I guess it all depends what may or may not happen in a couple of days

Putin makes Iran-Israeli mediation pitch in call with UAE president

The leaders of Russia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) warn of “extremely negative consequences” from the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict, as Russian President Vladimir Putin pushes himself as a possible mediator, AFP reports.

In a phone call with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Putin “confirmed Russia’s readiness to provide mediation assistance to promote dialogue between the parties to the conflict”, the Kremlin said in a statement.

The two leaders “expressed deep concern over the continuing escalation of the Iranian-Israeli conflict, which could have extremely negative consequences for the entire region”, Moscow added.

I also believe that hezbollah isn’t as degraded as we think. Obviously they have taken huge blows. But they are alive. They will be activated if necessary, not because they want to, but they have to. If Iran falls, they can say goodbye to entire Lebanon, Israel doesn’t even need to invade, they will use jewlani to slaughter all the Shias in Lebanon
they probably enter into war if USA directly enter into war

Iran and Qatar have close relations. Iran should have learned form Qatar immediately.

From day 1 of this war I am wondering why red flags were not immediately raised in Iran regarding the Indians. I hope lessons are learned this time.

As I said multiple times in the India-Pakistan conflict thread: Indian workforce should be as thoroughly kicked out of the Middle East as possible and replaced with Pakistanis, Bangladeshi.. anyone but Indians. There is potential of tens of billions of $ for Pakistan via remittances if that happens, which would be a game changer for Pakistan's economy. And, yes, Pakistan has too much surplus labor to worry about 'brain drain'. Most poor countries of the world may complain about 'brain drain' but don't mind getting the $$ AND fresh discourse/tech from their expats.

They've already said "goodbye to entire Lebanon", and they're no longer interested in aligning themselves with Iran again.

Even if Iran asks, their request will be turned down.

How has it been degraded? And why does it take years?
Hi

Firstly it is important to state what the Israelis and Americans are doing is NOT to degrade the Iranian Nuclear program, it is to carry out a forced regieme change.

But since you asked the question allow me to help

As you can see from the above timeline which I have created sorry its a little long xD... Iran has worked really hard to develop its nuclear program which is largely peaceful but you will seen that it has taken 10 years for Iran to spin enough centrifuges to get its 20% enriched uranium to 60% uranium. For reference 90% purity enriched Uranium is what is required for the development of nuclear weapons.

What the Israelis are trying to do by targeting Iranian nuclear sites is to destroy those centrifuges that purify Iran's uranium, doing so will set Iran's nuclear program back decades.

Iran's current Enrichment stockpiles:

How long would it take for Iran to develop a weapon (IN THEORY)

Note: Data is from the latest International Atomic Energy Agency monitoring report for each each year and is current as of May 17, 2025. Values represent production of enriched uranium material. Building a nuclear weapon would require more time before it was viable.
