They do want a ceasefire right now, because they are running short of interceptors and are feeling the pain. Thats why they have escalated against Iranian cities now, to force Iran to agree to the ceasefire.

Israelis have become spoiled brats, after all they’re quite used to getting everything they want from their Uncle Sam. It’s only now they’re realizing that (unlike in the past) they may have started a war that they cannot end on their own terms.
