I am not sure I agree with that logic fully. Regardless of what happens to the site, I don't see Iran's position on what it views as "its rights" changing materially at all. If anything, they may be more forceful on their rights.
The attacked sites are not material to the rights of Iran, only for Iran to be able to exercise those rights for "now".
Iran will return to negotiate in the context of the snapback sanctions only, if they are put back on Iran, then Iran will most likely leave the NPT.
Iran will pick up the pieces and move on.
Let's get this very strict here, 2 things had become obviously certain now.
1.) NPT is dead (at least for Iran)
2.) US is serious about Iran.
Iran won't survive without Nuclear Weapon, that's just going to be Iranian position unless either Israel or US administration changed, even then I don't know how Iran can walk back into being a non-nuclear country, that mean this kind of attack is going to happen when the west wanted, it's a dilemma that fed into itself, keep going and you will get bomb, you say stop, and they don't trust you, and you still get bomb, that's the reality of this.
At least half of Trump supporter don't like the Idea of war with Iran, you can see the split here already, Trump is isolating himself from his base to literally do this, without any thinking or input (again, from that TV appearance giving Iran 2 weeks to come to the talk to actually bomb them is less than 2 days) He can't walk back because if he does, the other part of GOP, the part that support attack on Iran will stop supporting him, of he go on, the other part, the more MAGA part will not support him, and that's just within GOP, he also need to care about the independent, which is largely unsupportive, while he is not going to be POTUS after this, he still want to be the King at least for GOP to pull string, and if he does that, he can kiss mid-term 2026 good bye, if it had not gone down the drain already. Trump is a typical strong man, this is beyond he said he will do something, he DID it, that mean unless it goes his way and Iran completely surrenders, he HAS to continue the current path.
So now, you have your unstoppable force immovable object, something gotta give. People need to stop pretending this is going to be it after all this, Iran dust off itself off, straight out from a talk and everything going back to normal, Trump is not going away until 2028, god knows how long Nethanyahu is staying, remember all the talks just after Oct 7 when I say he is going to stay in power because of this and y'all laugh at me? Well, this is how he stays in power, he is going to create a bigger mess to cover the previous mess in order to justify himself to keep going. I don't foresee any way Iran can stay the course and somehow hit the pause, this is not going to be this way anymore, the way Israeli build up things, first they targetted Hamas in Gaza, then Hezbollah in Lebanon, then in Syria, you don't need a military analyst like me to tell you they are building this up for Iran.
I don't honestly like war, but I don't see any way out of this one, and have to say this, thinking otherwise is sort of wishful thinking. Iran needs to fight, and they need to fight optically, because I don't honestly believe, Iran has the might to fend off an attack combining the US and Israel
Again, that's what I think, I could be wrong and I wish that I would turn out to be wrong, but this is what I think.
