He claims that Salami knew that Israel would attack tonight 2 hours before the attack started. He also says that the US offer to Iran was 100% different from what Witkoff had negotiated with them.

c'm on man, even I (an ordinary person, who has no knowledge of military affairs) knew about the imminent attack!

Seyed Hossein Mousavian, former Iranian Ambassador to Germany and ex-nuclear negotiator:

Russia didn’t provide Iran with Su-35 fighter jets or the S-400 defense system, despite Iran being under threat for decades from nuclear powers like the U.S. and Israel — and ultimately attacked by them.

Yet, Russia offered India — a U.S. ally — 117 Su-35Ms and joint Su-57 production with full tech transfer.

This isn’t a criticism of Moscow; it’s acting in its strategic interest. If Türkiye (a NATO member) or Saudi Arabia (a U.S. ally) request Su-35s, Su-57s, or S-400s, Russia would likely agree.

Maybe this reality helps Tehran better understand international relations and the true nature of national interests.

100km is long enough to keep Israeli jets out of Yemeni airspace

they use mostly EO/IR systems but they probably have the SA-6 radar too (50km range)

Israel does not have good intelligence in Yemen hence they keep attacking the port and power stations... they tried to kill the Houthi chief of staff a few weeks ago but failed...

they used modernised SA-6 to hit Saudi F-15 in 2021 (plane continued but was likely damaged, and was likely due to pilot errors)

There was never any chance of them trying to kill Khamenei. It would have been a massive boon to Iran, not only for the nation to rally around his death, but also because statistically it would be hard for his replacement to be less competent.

The J-10 platform that was pitched to Iran in 2020 was J-10A with a pulse-doppler radar and the Chinese wanted cash. It was simply an unattractive deal for Iran.

Former Iranian military officer: I went to China 9 years ago to buy 100 J-10s, but Rouhani wanted to buy Rafale

On July 1, 2025, local time, Ata Bahrami, a former officer of the Iranian Air Force and a doctor of Iran, was interviewed by the Iranian media "Energy Line". Through the translation of the words of this former officer of the Iranian Air Force, Ata Bahrami, Ata Bahrami is really optimistic about the J-10 fighter jet made in China. Ata Bahrami said: "I really like and love the J-10 fighter jet (Iran codenamed Jad C-30, this still needs to be studied, why the Iranian Air Force codenamed the J-10 as Jad C-30), of which 100 J-10 fighter jets were originally planned to enter service in the Iranian Air Force.

In 2016, a former Iranian Air Force officer followed the former Iranian Air Force Commander (current Iranian Defense Minister) to inspect the J-10 fighter jet.

Former Iranian Air Force officer Atta Bahrami expressed his love for the J-10 fighter jet

Through analysis, it was learned that he broke the news that in 2016, as a captain officer of the Iranian Air Force, he had followed General Nasirzadeh, the former commander of the Iranian Air Force (currently Iran’s Defense Minister, Nasirzadeh arrived in China earlier to attend the SCO meeting) to visit China. He admired the Chinese-made J-10CE fighter very much and planned to buy 100 of them to form 8 J-10CE fighter squadrons. However, the then Iranian President Rouhani blocked the purchase of the Chinese J-10. The Rouhani government tried to buy Rafale fighters from France, but failed. Atta Bahrami said: "It’s not good to buy Rafale from France", "Well, it’s obvious that France is going to spend more money", "This may be the fault of the Iranian military because the military has a limited budget."

In 2024, the commander of the Iranian Air Force boarded the J-10 fighter jet. In fact, in 2016, the Iranian Air Force had already secretly inspected it.

Many Iranian military personnel or former Iranian military personnel were dissatisfied with the 12-day war between Iran and Israel. The main focus was that the Iranian authorities were too credulous in Western-made weapons. As a result, from the comparison between the India-Pakistan air war and the war between Iran and Israel (there was no air combat), the Pakistani Air Force did not hesitate at all and directly placed an order to purchase the J-10CE fighter jets + PL-15E air-to-air missiles, and successfully seized air superiority within a few hours. On the other hand, the most advanced fighter jets of the Iranian Air Force are only F-14A fighter jets. Not to mention fighting against the Israeli Air Force F-35I fighter jets, it is difficult to even take off safely.

As a result, the purchase of J-10 fighter jets was delayed for 9 years. When the Iranian Air Force saw the results of the Pakistani Air Force, it could only slap its thigh and regret it.

If Iran places an order for 100 J-10 fighter jets from China in 2016, then almost all of these 100 J-10 fighter jets will be delivered to the Iranian Air Force. This means that the Israeli Air Force F-35I, F-15I, and F-16I fighter jets will not have any chance to fly over Iranian airspace and carry out indiscriminate bombing, or even enter unmanned territory. Iran's hypersonic missiles and medium-range ballistic missiles do have a strong counterattack, but if they are covered by J-10 fighter jets, Iran's hypersonic missiles and medium-range ballistic missiles will counterattack more smoothly. At least when launching, there is no need to worry about being caught by Israeli Air Force fighter jets and reconnaissance and strike-in-one armed drones, and directly strike at a reduced dimension.

If the Iranian Air Force bought 100 J-10 fighters 9 years ago, would the Israeli Air Force still dare to launch an aerial bombing? The answer should be no. In fact, the development of the Iranian Air Defense Force is not as big a problem as the Iranian Air Force. Iran has produced its own guerrilla warfare capabilities, battlefield mobility, high survivability Beech air defense missiles, a large number of optoelectronic air defense missiles, infrared air defense missiles, air defense cruise missiles, etc., to ensure that the Iranian Air Defense Force can launch air defense missiles in various situations. As long as the Iranian Air Defense Force does not collapse and resist, it should be able to protect the entire territory of Iran, especially Iran’s important strategic targets, and ensure the smooth launch of Iranian missile launchers, and smash hundreds or thousands of hypersonic missiles and medium-range ballistic missiles at Israel.

Pakistan Air Force became famous with J-10CE + PL-15 air-to-air missiles

According to Iran's missile inventory, it completely overwhelms Israel's Arrow-2/3 anti-missile system, the US Patriot air defense missile system, and the THAAD anti-missile system. But the problem is that Iran's air defense forces collapsed without a fight. They were frightened by the anti-tank missiles and drones launched from the ground by the Israeli Mossad intelligence agents. Iran's air defense forces did not conduct any combat operations. Instead, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard air defense forces achieved very little results with their only anti-aircraft cruise missiles. The Israeli Air Force directly flew the reconnaissance and strike armed drones into the sky over Tehran and began bombing.

To put it bluntly, if the Iranian military still does not resist, sabotages each other, and hinders each other, even if the Iranian Air Force now purchases J-10, J-16, J-35, Su-35, and Su-57 fighters, the Iranian Air Defense Force will still not resist, and the Iranian Air Force will still be beaten or win a miserable victory. On the other hand, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps still chooses to fight even when all its senior generals have been silenced.

Israel's Hermes-900 large reconnaissance and strike armed drone was shot down over Iran's Markazi province

For Iran, the J-10 needs to be based on stealth aircraft and a very powerful air-to-ground system to fight against the F-35. The early warning aircraft + ground anti-stealth radar share the data link, and with two electronic warfare J-10s, it may really be able to fight the F-35. In the past 10 years, Iran has shot down and captured US drones many times. The poor performance this time is probably due to the problems of the Iranian Air Defense Force generals and the sabotage of the Israeli Mossad ground.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has accused Israel of attempting to assassinate him and said Tehran is ready to resume nuclear talks with the United States under specific conditions, in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson released on July 7.

Pezeshkian confirmed that an attempt was made and an action took place, stating: "We were in an internal meeting reviewing programmes when - based on information they obtained from their spies - they bombed the area where we were present."

The Iranian president said Tehran does not intend to develop nuclear weapons, describing such accusations as Israeli propaganda.

"We have never been, are not, and will never be after nuclear weapons. This is an order and fatwa issued by the Supreme Leader and has been verified in our full cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency," Pezeshkian said.

He accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of creating a false image of Iran since 1992. "Netanyahu has tried to instil this lie in American presidents that Iran is after nuclear weapons. This false image and this misconception rooted in the minds of American officials and decision-makers is the result of diabolical schemes devised by Netanyahu and the Israeli regime," Pezeshkian said.

Regarding potential talks with Washington, the president said: "We have no problem with negotiations. But the catastrophes that the Zionist regime has brought to the region and our country have made the situation critical."

Pezeshkian set conditions for resuming dialogue: "We hope that after overcoming this crisis, we can return to the negotiating table again. Of course, this requires one condition: trust in the dialogue process. In the middle of dialogue, the Zionist regime should not be allowed to attack again and start the fire of war."

The president dismissed fears about Iranian-Americans, saying: "Have you seen anything in the behaviour of Iranians living in America other than science, literature, cooperation and knowledge? These are images that Zionists and some who seek to continue war and unrest propagate."

When asked about the "Death to America" chant, Pezeshkian explained: "This slogan means 'death to crime,' 'death to murder,' 'death to supporting massacre,' and 'death to policies that make the region insecure.'"

Pezeshkian said Iran's Supreme Leader believes American investors can come to Iran without obstacles. "We have had and continue to have readiness for any kind of economic, industrial and commercial cooperation with Americans, but it is these sanctions that have prevented their presence in our country," he said.

But then how do you explain the lesser frequency of missile launches as the war went on ? I thought the issue truly was Iranian missile bases were disabled and many of the TEL were destroyed and remaining would get detected during launches and attacked ? That was why most Iranian launches were at night as it was more able to hide the TEL ?

only problem is they would have been j10a with a mechanical pulse dopler radar with older generation avionics, without any stealth feature, with older less reliable ws-10 engine that only could use pl-8 and PL-11 instead of PL-10 and PL-15 without integrated sensors and battlefield awareness

those planes had zero chance against Israeli aircrafts

If rouhani really stopped that purchase , he must lauded as a hero.
why the way rouhani had nothing to do with stopping that purchase it was air-force who said we don't want it

Lol, lmao

Like I said, the jews are not going to kill Khamenei or Pezeshkian, these retards are a godsend for them.

I think they were looking at the J-10CE as said in the article, they were in the final testing stage in 2016.
