Nightly broadcasting ended with the playing of the Star Spangled Banner.

I lived this!

Oh, and we had 4 channels, not 3. PBS was aired on Channel 54 where I grew up.

ABC was Channel 24 (WJET), CBS Channel 35 (WSEE), and NBC was Channel 12 (WICU).

The good old days. The fact I even remember that is concerning.

I remember the days of black and white TV. We had just one set, kept in the last room of the house. To watch it, we had to quietly pass through my grandfather's room. He used to rest on his bed, and we’d keep the volume low—because if he heard it, he’d come in with his stick!

Sometimes, we would sit in front of the black and white screen for hours, just waiting for the programs to start. No remote, no channels—just anticipation and excitement.

That was the true era of black and white TV. Simple times. Beautiful memories

So, I'm getting caught up this morning somewhere else. Seems one of my favorite members picked up another "time out". Read a couple of the most recent posts. Not sure what rubbed who the wrong way. I tended to agree.

Oh well.

Hope his time away is only temporary. He brings a point of view most of that crowd aren't capable of seeing.

I flagged 3 posts for "trolling" after one of mine was deleted (and yours as well). One of the other guy's got deleted and the other two remained. I thought "meh... good enough".

But then a few hours later, one of the management got up and gave me a vacation until next Wednesday. "Abusing the Reporting System".

That's a new one. :ROFLMAO:

They have too many rules. I personally think they are making up shit as they go along. At least one of them is.

(we are talking about another forum... not PDF)
