Why not you put LORA on Tejas?

:D

We are buying Israeli Air LORA missiles for exact same purpose.

Since Tejas can't carry the Air launched Brahmos , and LORA offers a similar strike range of 450km, but at a lower weight

Uh-huh. So you're going to use missiles against your opponent's superior air force and stealth fighters?

Why do I seem a little familiar with this scenario?

Greeks have both Mirage 2000 and Rafale that Pakistan shot down. They are another French customer that would soon be requesting refunds for overpriced and underperforming fighters.
I don't know many times I have to repeat that we're talking about good aircraft in the hands of a bad air force. I thought some of you guys would have understood that by now.
We've shot down an F-16 with a Mirage 2000 back in the 90s. Now,Turks will come and say "but it was unarmed...they were on an exercise..." blah blah

Mirage 2000-5s have also locked Turkish F-16s several times during dogfights. Does that mean the F-16 is a bad aircraft?

1918 to 1923, when the Turkish Army fought combined forces of Great Britain, France, Italy, Greece, Australia, New Zealand, British Colonies, Arabs and local traitors alone, no one had come to their rescue!
Result; decisive Turkish Victory over all those forces! So thinking Turkiye which is even much more powerful now than then needing protection against India is comical at best!
There's a bit of a misunderstanding here. First of all,you merged the WWI era and the War of Independence together.

The Ottomans lost WWI along with the rest of the Central Powers.

In their War of independence, the British didn't actually fight, the French weren't keen on fighting hard to keep Cilicia, just like Kemal Ataturk had guessed and so just left. Arabs were not involved in this war,so it was basically Greeks and Armenians.

The Greeks had the biggest army, but trying to reach Ankara overstretched the supply lines, while irregulars would harass logistics behind the frontlines.

Armenians on the other hand, had a huge territory to cover with just a tiny force compared to both the land they had to protect and the Turks coming against them.

So the whole "We fought against everyone and won",is a bit of a myth. The main enemies were Greeks and Armos.

Armenia-greece deserves Kusha, Brahmos, Pralay, prahar and everything.....
I think we deserve western-made systems and Korean and Japanese ones.
Didn't IAF pilots tried to show alignment with Greeks by supporting Anti-Turkish patches during an exercise with GAF using Mirage-2000 like the hosts, I guess the IAF'S subsequent performance and being the first country to lose a Mirage-2000 in combat must have thrilled Greeks .

I might be wrong, but I don't think our guys(or any other air force)goes to international exhibitions and exercises with patches like that. Now,I might be mistaken, but I don't think they do that. For example,I don't think an Arab air force would exercise with a bunch of western ones and wear patches like "Free Palestine,Jew noses,Settlers out" etc. Yet,the Indians wanting to show their friendship or admiration or whatever, were eager to wear anti-Turkish patches. Sorry,I find all these things childish. The whole..."i fak ur air force wit my missile" and "raptar slayer and rafale eater",I think they're childish, dumb and completely unnessecary.
LOL they better options from USA/western countries than these unproven systems
It has been rumored that our Armed Forces showed interest for the Israeli Lora.
Our MoD though, has been babbling about the FDI frigates coming with "strategic weapons",which basically means they will use 8 MdCN each, except for one frigate. Even so,just 24 MdCN would practically be of little use during a war. It's also not confirmed even if the MoD said it himself. Some have said the FDI will come with 32 Aster-30 AA missiles and no MdCN,as was intended. Then comes the minister and says "they will carry strategic weapons".
Soon we will have Indians settling in Greece as low Greek birth rate and emigration empties the country.
Sir,they all go to Canada. You know that.

Supplying weapons to make money isn’t a bad profession. In fact it is an amazing one.

How Greece uses its missiles is their business?
How Turkey feels or interprets this has no meaning to India? We don’t have of any great or even neutral relations to talk about.
OK, but were they also offered to Turkiye? Or was the offer highly selective for reasons that you and I know best?

Thank you, finally after 8 pages somebody remembered there's a greek member here.

I go to sleep,I wake up and I see this. Well,my suggestion is

There's more intrigue, fighting, dragons and even a bit of sex.

But seriously now,I checked Ptisi,Defencereview,Doureios and Onalert just in case and I found nothing about it.

The key word in all this is "Pentapostagma"

This website has been cited many times here and every time I have to tell people that it's a mostly "religious matters" site that has little to nothing to do with geopolitical and defence matters.

As for the "geostratigika" site,I've no idea about it. I checked some of the most reliable ones and they mention nothing.

But I would like to address some of the other comments on the thread in my next post.
It is only benefiting the forum for traffic, pages after pages over nothing, as expected.

Meanwhile 80% of Indians need food assistance from the government.
Gosh look at their priorities.
Turkey is not even a threat to them. And militarily India isn't capable of hurting turkey.

Taiwan will be the next customer for BrahMos.

Dude China can and will swallow the tiny Taiwan very soon.
Such support geo politics and games are played by mighty global powers not by a nation like India where 80% citizens need food assistance from the government.

It’s called the Food Security Act, under which 80% of India’s population receives free food. Similar food security schemes exist in China, United States, United Kingdom, Brazil, Iran, and Saudi Arabia.

Providing free food, healthcare, water, electricity, and education is not a sign of poverty—it is a sign of growing prosperity.

India’s military-industrial complex cannot be compared with that of Pakistan, Afghanistan, or Bangladesh. India currently exports defense equipment worth $5 billion annually, a figure expected to reach $10 billion by 2030.

As of today, 65% of the military equipment used by the Indian Armed Forces is manufactured domestically.

Air LORA is an Air to Ground missile

It's not meant to be used against Stealth fighters.

It will be used to hit ground targets
Like Brahmos and SCALP

We are buying it for our Mig29 and Tejas fleet to enhance their standoff strike capabilities

On the other hand, the news reported that "Especially in the conditions of missile saturation caused by the mass firings of the Greek Brahmos coastal defense units deployed to the Eastern Aegean islands, it will mean a minimum reaction time on the radars of Turkish naval ships."

MISSILE WITH A RANGE OF 1000 KM IS COMING TO THE AEGEAN

On the other hand, a new provocation has been added to the joint Greece-India provocation. In fact, the news in the Greece-based GeoStratigika newspaper used the expressions, "India will give Greece 1,000 km cruise missiles."

The Greek press continued by saying that a possible cooperation between Greece and India in the field of cruise missiles could provide the Greek deterrent force with a critical deep strike capability;

"India has made an informal offer to Greece for supply of Long Range Land Attack Cruise Missile (LR-LACM)"

The LR-LACM missile has a range of over 1,000 kilometers and is designed to attack strategic targets deep inside enemy territory, the Greek press said. "It is launched from land-based mobile platforms, can carry a variety of warheads and follows a low flight profile to avoid radar detection."

"WE WILL HIT TURKISH AIRPORTS"

On the other hand, the Greek media Pentapostagma newspaper, which reported the details on the subject, said;

"India has offered long-range cruise missiles to Greece.

If our army moves in parallel with Rafale and F-16 Viper aircraft with a sufficient number of these missiles, it will make Türkiye experience the pain that Iran suffered in the war with Israel.

"In the event of a possible Greek-Turkish war, it will have the ability to directly strike Turkish airports, radar bases and air defense systems," he said.

This news will only strengthen Pakistan Türkiye defence cooperation. One more solid reason for Pakistan and Türkiye to join hands.

Truth be told the best thing that could happen is the greeks starting another war. What can't be solved via 50 years of dialogue can be resolved with a few weeks of fighting.

The armenians started a war in which they were swiftly crushed. What couldn't be resolved via talks for many decades was resolved exceptionally quickly. Azerbaijan got her land back and Armenia is gradually being turned into a Vassal of Turkiye.

If i were Turkiye i would encourage matters that can give the greeks the confidence they need to attack Turkiye. This will allow Turkiye to reclaim the rest of Cyprus, take back the entire agean islands that were stolen from her and liberate Thrace for the Turkish Muslims there. Really giving Turkiye a foothold in the Balkans.

Inshallah these enemies stop hiding behind the US/EU and attack Turkiye again like they did in 1974.

The results of the last time the greeks started a war against the Turks.

One thing i realised watching Turkiye these past 10 years, when you have just "one" serious nation backing you, it makes all the difference. If the Turkiye/Azerbaijan/Pakistan axis could incorporate another 3 nations who are just as serious in defending each other as they are, no one will be able to harm us moving forward.

And what left for the corporation that waited or needed such kind of news

Speaking of BrahMos exports, I’m not sure what Indian weapon hit Lashkar-e-Taiba mosque in Kotli, Pakistan — the entire building has split in two. Was it a BrahMos missile or an air-dropped bomb? The impact is massive.
