Pakistan Army Small Arms

In other words, highly doubtful the Indians will be overrunning anyone anytime soon.

Hell, with just my collection of M-1s and a few friends, we have the firepower of a company of Indian infantry armed with SLMEs.

Back OT, Pakland really needs to look at easing out the AK series outside of certain special applications and focus on the calibers it knows best: 5.56 and 7.62x51.

FWIW, I am now playing with .300BO. I can duplicate 7.62x39 performance from a cartridge whose parent case is 5.56x45.
Hard to believe Indians would actually produce such junk: from 1948-to the 1950s .

What with my limited knowledge I would suggest is a replacement for the venerable MG3 machine gun with a smaller more compact Squad Automatic Weapon. The FN MiniMi and M249Para are obvious choices but politically and price wise not feasible . QJB-201 should be evaluated if it hasn't already.
The individual infantry support weapn ( assault rifle) could be
QBZ-95 chambered for the 5.56 X 45 round

Cost shouldn't be as big of a issue since you don't need to purchase as many machine guns, M249 and Minimi are already the standard LMGs for the SSG so I don't know why it would be a issue politically, but adopting it would involve making 5.56 the standard round.

QBZ-85 is frankly an ugly weapon. Looks too much like the FAMAS which I despise. If I ever had to carry a bullpup style rifle it would be a Steyr AUG or a Tavor. Yeah, I get it; as much chance of Pakland adopting an Israeli rifle as the Brits celebrating 4th of July. In fact, a civilian version of the Tavor is available in the US and I've looked at them. May have to acquire one.

You already build manufacture the G-3 under license. Consider the MK416. We carry it. Or should I say certain units carry it. The you can continue your love affair with German weapons.

As for the G-3 in a DMR role, I'm sure the Germans have figured out how to make it reasonably accurate. Obviously the receiver construction and scope mount mounting has to be addressed. Trigger job is a must. Not sure if you can "free float" the barrel. If you can, even better. A match grade barrel is a must of course. I liken the process to that of accurizing and M-14. It can be done but you're going to have to work on it to keep it that way. That's where an AR-10 / AR-308 platform comes in handy. You can do all of that very easily.

New trials are ongoing for changing our rifles….. all are Pakistan made rifles…. The G3 being wielded has been upgraded/ modded by the germans this time, unlikelast time where pof was doing mods. Based on what i have heard, it looks similar to what metal 01 has shared few pages back 1752534587458.png

The issue of $$$ of comes up again, PA needs 600k rifles to fully equip just the active duty soldiers, The reason CZ bren was the most attractive option was because it had good performance while being more cost effective than other western options like the SCAR, the Czechs were also offering full local production which would have made it even cheaper in the long run, it also has a 7.62x39, .51 and a 5.56 version which meant it could replace both the Type 56 and G3s and even the M4s in SSG service, IMO choosing the bren was a no brainer but the Army generals in their infinite wisdom thought otherwise...

Also it's not that the PA loves German rifles it's more that they love the 7.62x51

The Czechs make some fine weapons. I've handled a few.

STANAG magazines and Picatinny rail system can be very useful.

I wouldn't be surprised if they issue half assed mod kits and call it a replacement

It's a another insas waiting to happen
CW39 uses proven designs and HK tooling that POF is entirely familiar with. And I wouldn't call it a battle rifle like the G3. It's clearly an assault rifle.

INSAS was an attempt from scratch with some know how about the L1 SLR and AK rifles fused into it. CW39 seems like a measured attempt that constraints itself to concepts that POF is familiar with instead.

Are you sure you aren't mixing up the CW 39 and the BW 20?
