Trump Announces Major Pakistan Trade Deal, Vows Joint Oil Development/Exploration

@hydrabadi_arab

Hydra bro,

India exports to USA make up 37% of its total exports. All of it is low tech IT and goods, easily replaceable.

Replaceable by whom?

Regards

Tariffs on products don't do India much harm.Trump should tariff services especially IT and BPO and make life hard getting a H1B

How exactly do you tariff services when there is no container ship docking with code from Bangalore? Gonna put customs officers in Google Drive? Even Europe, with all its regulatory zeal, has struggled to tax profit shifting by Big Tech, a much simpler problem. What are you gonna do, block a payment from Siemens Luxembourg to Infosys? It’s not just hard, it’s practically unenforceable without wrecking your own companies competitiveness.

Basically this is trade war and tariff on turmeric, shrimps etc.. and any cut in H1b's will actually help shift more jobs to Bangalore. And aren't we a full Baniya nation, If we thought we couldn’t handle it and would have a large economic impact, we’d have folded like Pakistan in round one.

Pakistna does not have the capability to competent with India in IT.
That would be like India competing with China in metal industry.
India based online scammers ripping old people of their retirement money and Microsoft certified specialists with Jewish names and heavy Indian accent aside, what capabilities do Indian it personnel exhibit that are superior to Pakistani IT specialists?

What exactly do you know about Pakistani IT talent? IT exports are not an indicator of the talent and capability. Pakistani IT kids will eat your shupa dupa IT indutry's backside for breakfast and won't even burp.

@mythbuster

von Blumfeld Pai,

US is pissed off at India for something that's far deeper than what meets the eye.....

Yes, can't be something as trivial as IND buying Russian oil, which anyway is being bought with tacit US approval. It can't be IND not fighting against PRC- everyone knows IND can't fight. Has to be something which is not apparent.

America has been providing us with opportunities since the sixties....it's our own inefficiencies that we couldn't avail them

Have these inefficiencies been sorted out?

Regards

You mean those legendary Pindi bedtime stories "my chacha’s friend’s son once formatted a hard disk, bro, he's a tech genius"?

The exact terms of US-Pak trade deal haven’t been made public.
Why is that so?

So what is the correct indicator ?

Hydra bro,

Would China be interested in entering the low-end IT business? Would PRC's wage structures allow its engineers to get into the USD 9/hour code coolieing business?
Do PAK and BD have a mass of millions of IT workers and "reputed" IT companies which can take over work from IND?

Regards

USA govt will simply tell American companies to shift IT outsourcing to somewhere else. It doesnt happen overnight, may take couple of years.

You actually cannot handle even 10% decrease in exports no matter how baniya you are. China went from 1 step ahead of India in 1995 to 100 step ahead by 2025.

India remained low tech service and goods economy despite trillions of dollars poured in by America/west.

Pakistan and Bangladesh can easily absorb $30 billion of IT exports in few 2-3 years. Overall low tech coolie IT export model is nearing its end with AI. So USA will not have current leverage in 5-10 years time.

Today India is way too dependent on USA, even I didnt realize that before. India $300b exports out of 800b goes to USA.

Trump have India by balls.

There are a dozen ways to penalize companies for giving business to India not just tariffs
