on the other hand, Israel destroyed Iran's air defences and reached Tehran after 24 hours, so the Iranian Army and IRGC failed to prepare for the war and their knowledge of their weakness (despite their endless propaganda) is likely the cause for their fear of war in the first place.

Iran is not comparable to North Korea. Iran is in the centre of a dangerous region and not a tiny hermit kingdom island hanging on to China and Russia. It doesn't work

It doesn't matter. They will get bombed anyway, regardless of IAEA presence in the country or not.

There were inspectors in Iran when Israel launched it's attack.

When you accept that there is no plan, and that every single IR official is cynically going after their own self interest, everything will make more sense to you. Even the Taliban are more competent governors...

With the exception of 1 or 2 people here, I think the overwhelming majority agree Iranian leadership is incompetent. Enough complaining about it.

What do you do now? A coup? Someone from Artesh or Sepah can do it?

Is anyone in IRGC even going to do it, or are they too ideologically committed to rahbar, and the system?
 


When a political bloc acts against the interests of the country and people for decades and the response of the people is to keep electing then rather than beating them to death on the streets, you arrive where we are today.



Iranians couldn't come up with anything better than the IR for 50 years and now we will face those consequences. The desire for an easy life ruined the nation and provided a hard life anyways.

Iranians are naive, they're innocent people, they're not in the habit of questioning people in authority, that's the most important reason why we are in this position...the Westerners are much more suspicious and spiteful of their leaders, which in turn keeps those leaders on their toes.
We on the other hand laud respect on these incompetent fools....instead of bouncing them out of power and replacing them with capable people. Look at the average age of these guys...they're ancient, out of touch, with very little world experience, they're trapped in their bubble and think the world behaves/or thinks like them.

What can we do other than complain here? We can talk about a coup all day, but that won't make it happen.

Exactly, if Iranians don't want to end up as another Libya or Syria, the culture will need reform and they will need to fight for it. I think more likely they will just accept their circumstances. In time even Afghanistan will surpass us.

Do you realize that the majority of Iranians are against the Ayatollahs?

Do you realize that's why so many Israeli agents have been arrested in Iran during the war? Some people dislike and distrust the Ayatollahs to the point that they're working with the enemy to topple them. And you think Iranians are naive and never question people in authority?

Do you realize PDF is one of the most pro-IR platforms on the internet where Iranians participate and yet everyone here is calling them incompetent?

The IR is losing its last remaining base of supporters. If they cannot defend Iran and prevent Iran from turning into Syria, there is zero doubt that the regime will be toppled either by a foreign invasion or a civil war. The last thing that the IR provided was security and even that seems to be gone now.

Western leaders are failing very badly, in their own way. Euro-slaves wasted all their resources on a war which they're losing and are dependent on daddy US for diplomacy and military and they're doubling down to lose more, they are in deep shit and sinking further. Their societies are divided, EU as a block is divided and may even collapse.
But I agree with you, we're naive and isolated and wanted to become more catholic than the pope (being diplomatic and believing in peace). Our people are kind and innocent for outside world, we need a cultural, political, military and economical revolution. Our incompetent leaders did their best to prevent this.
