PA MLRS, Self Propelled and towed artillery [BM-11, Fatah-I GMLRS, Fatah-II] - News, Updates & Discussions

Yeah no, he did in fact just take it off social media, mainstream media and Wikipedia and went entirely against the established Indian narrative because it wasn’t fact checked by anyone. Did you see what they were quoting as sources? You’re giving them way too much credit lmao. Anyone with half a brain cell can see that it’s a BS press brief and not an official stance. You can’t cherry pick from it and accept the Indian losses and credible and then deny the claimed Pakistani losses in the Same breath. Even other than that, the numbers and types he claims go against everything both the PAF and the IAF have said.
How they collected the info is their headache, their incompetence is their problem, for us it came out of the mouth of an indian military attache. Period.

Rules for thee and not for me. Not how it works unfortunately. If his word is so valuable and you believe it, then I suppose 90% of the PAF is lost too?

Have you realized that his claim of Indian losses directly contradicts both the PAFs statements and the OSINT evidence?

"On 13 August, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif, announced that the Pakistan Army (PA) has officially raised a ‘Rocket Force Command’ under its umbrella.

The formation of ‘Army Rocket Force Command’ (ARFC) cements the PA’s multi-year effort to build its independent stand-off range precision-strike capability as not just a doctrine, but an organized element with its own command structure, concept of operations (CONOPS), requirements, and objectives.

While the announcement of the ARFC follows the reveal of the Fatah-IV, a subsonic ground-launched cruise missile (GLCM) with a range of 750 km, the work to form it likely dates back to 2021, when the PA began testing the indigenous Fatah-I guided multiple launch rocket system (GMLRS).

1755224097978.png

The original intent of the Fatah-I GMLRS was likely to augment the PA’s existing artillery capabilities with a longer-ranged guided rocket, complementing the A-100 already in service at that point. However, following Ukraine and Russia’s respective successes in deploying organized rocket-centric tactics since 2022 and – perhaps more importantly – the Pakistan Air Force’s (PAF) gradual evolution to using its strike capabilities for broader strategic purposes, the PA likely saw the need to build its own precision-strike element.

Where dedicated precision-strike differs from using guided artillery under the artillery paradigm is that the ARFC will use its munitions to achieve bigger tactical goals and, in aggregate, a strategic outcome rather than narrowly supporting a specific land maneuver. So, for example, where guided artillery would be used to neutralize an entrenched enemy position, ARFC will aim to deprecate air defences, threaten airfields or air bases, and, overall, deplete India’s broader warfighting.

One might be tempted to draw a parallel between the PA ARFC and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Rocket Force (PLARF). In some respects, the apparent similarities might be valid."

There is absolutely no similarity between the two, except for the same words in the names.

PA ARFC
It is a tactical force.
It is an independent unit under the PA (in this respect, it is somewhat similar to the PLAAF's Airborne Corps and the PLA Navy's Marine Corps).
It primarily uses MLRS and short-range missiles as its strike force.

PLARF
It is a strategic force.
It is an independent strategic force directly under the Central Military Commission. Since its inception, it has been a fourth service branch, operating in parallel with the PLAGF, PLA Navy, and PLAAF.
It primarily uses medium- and long-range missiles and intercontinental missiles as its strike force. It primarily relies on nuclear strikes, supplemented by strategic-level conventional strikes.

In the PLAGF, the MLRS is primarily deployed by group army artillery brigades.
It should be noted that the PLA does not currently have a dedicated short-range ballistic missile in its arsenal. However, the PLA's MLRS includes highly accurate and powerful guided rockets, as well as short-range tactical missiles launched from MLRS launchers.

Medium range missiles will be added in this force for striking targets in the east, rn longest range missiles in ARFC is F4 cruise missile with a range of 750kms.
Most probable Shaheen 1 and Shaheen 2s conventional version will be added in this force too
And your right it is different than Chinese counterpart, it's actually just for long range conventional strikes.
ASFC is very much Similar to PLA rocket force.

Pakistan’s Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) has marked another milestone by successfully developing the "Advance Infantry Mortar System (AIMS)" – a cutting-edge weapon designed to enhance the firepower, accuracy, and mobility of infantry units on the battlefield.

This new system is a major leap forward in modern artillery, offering improved targeting, rapid deployment, and precision strike capability. AIMS is built to support Pakistan Army’s evolving operational requirements in both conventional and asymmetric warfare, especially in mountainous and rugged terrains where traditional artillery faces limitations.
