Excellent post! Innovation is what we need here. We need to start focusing on acquiring a stealthy single engine combat platform from China that we can get from them in numbers, both manned and unmanned options based on one of the customized drones shown in the military parade recently. We can standardize our airforce on 5th gen stealth platform and build it locally as well.

Our people will get the training they need and our industry will move to 5th generation platform by repurposing the JF-17 manufacturing line. We will keep our airforce up to date and migrate to 6th generation weapon systems easily. This was going to happen after 2035 but seeing the Indian airforce's upcoming acquisitions, it's wiser to move into this direction now leaving 4th and 4.5th generation behind.
