@AZ_HighCountry

Simple anglophone demographic pressure is India's secret power.

You are right. The Question you need to ask is why Pakistan is not at least 1/10th of IND- if not 1/6th- in terms of IT/Services export revenue. Once you answer this question, you will be in the right direction.

A lot of accounts are being paid to push this line .....

Indians cannot decide whether they are cheap and good enough, or that they are vastly more skilled and superior workers
This is where the debate gets interesting

We can make a poll on this.

My vote: Cheap and good enough

PS: there will be microscopic pockets of skilled and superior too

You and I will have different answers for said question.

@Master Chief

You and I will have different answers for said question.

Most Indians and most Pakistanis will have different answers for said question. And that is why both IND and PAK will evolve differently in the economic sphere. @PakFactor sb perhaps will be an exception on your side.

This may come as a shock to you, but there was a time when India was a pariah state and Pakistan was fully embraced by the west. I still remember those days. Maybe you are too young.

This difference in treatment by western economies was reflected in GDP trends, since you are talking about the "economic sphere".

India's and Pakistan's GDPs were virtually equal in much of the 1990s. Pakistan's GDP per capita was double that of India's in the year 1990.

So you see, whereas you will answer your own question from earlier with the usual tripe that "India has magical abilities in finance and organisational competence that Pakistanis lack", or the variant forms of propaganda that "Pakistan fails because it is a dictatorship while India thrives because it is a democracy", or even that "Indians work harder and for better value than anyone else"...the shocking truth is that macroeconomic factors weigh heavily on how wealthy your and my family ultimately become in our respective nations.

No, I am not that young, in my mid 50s now. I do remember.

India's and Pakistan's GDPs were virtually equal in much of the 1990s. Pakistan's GDP per capita was double that of India's in the year 1990.

Question then is why did you abandon your old path of alliance with the West if it was working so well. As your friends not, masters would put it "If it ain't broke why fix it"

Btw, I have a question for you, please find the answer.

In 1990s, when PAK GDP per capita was higher than IND and BD, what was the savings rate (Savings/GDP) for the three countries. You might find the answer interesting and counterintuitive. It might also explain what has happened since 2000.
