Have you read the previous details? I bet you haven’t. It was suicide, and it could have been switched off — that was a real possibility. You have no idea what could have happened. The weapons could have been disabled, or the program inside the F-16 could have been corrupted. So you can’t fully understand how the operation might have gone without knowing the end-user agreement details. That’s the reason why Pakistan accepted grain in return for the remaining F-16s, which were blocked by the USA.

I don't think a nuclear umbrella is part of the deal, for multiple reasons. First, who is threatening Saudi with nukes, Iran? please. Israel? Don't think so. In fact, Israel never refers to its nukes, let alone threatens anyone with them, it keeps an ambiguous policy. Second, if Pakistan provides a nuclear umbrella, and deploys nukes in the region, that will bring it into direct confrontation with Israel, because the Israelis will not accept that. Why would we want that? We have enough to deal with.

What people must understand is what was signed was a "defence pack". That term will be used the same way the Article 5 of NATO works. If Saudia Arabia decides to go and attack Somalia ( for whatever reason ), then the pact will not apply, even for Somalia's military response back to Saudia Arabia.

However, if one day, out of the blue, Saudia Araba is attacked by Somalia, then the pact will apply.

Additionally, what this pact does, is remove the nuclear sabre rattling from Israel in any military show down that may constrain Saudia Arabia's military response to any aggression. It frees Saudia Arabia and its freedom of movement and decision making.

Alot of people are trying to suggest this means that Saudia Arabia "decides" when Pakistan goes to war, and that is not the case. It is a "defensive pact".

paf k ows what usa could do or could not do if they have any doubt they would select some alternate plan. paf guys are very shrewd . i wnot take them as bunch of fools. if some one risking his life vokunteerly then he would make sure that mission should be completed at any cost. people think they know everything and those who fly them regulary dnt know any thing about their machines. if paf is using f 16s then they surely know they would fulfill their mission. thats it.

Yes, but a nuclear test will remind them of the all so common mortality which they have forgotten about. Target killing and waging war on women and children for a long time makes the oppressor think he is immortal and cannot be defeated.

North Korea has an almost non-existent air force compared to the combined capability of the USA, SK and Japan but no one will even look at North Korea in the wrong way because they know NK retalliates over every little rock even so no point risking a nuclear exchange. Israels strength is airpower for sure and look at how much they have achieved with it. The whole of Syria was neutered from the air! That is why it is frustrating to see how little value the GHQ places on the airforce relative to the army interms of funding of new programmes.

Probably J-10c. China recently disclosed that it used multiple of them and employed systems warfare - integrated early warning, electronic warfare, data links, sensor fusion to detect and lock on to J-20 during an excercise. Also note that the J-20 are much more superior than the Israeli F-35s.

na bhai am talking about in 90s when our nuclear facility was threatened by isreali attack and our pilots volunteerly presented themselves for one way suicidal mission.
