I find the IAF Chief’s claim about Operation Sindoor hard to accept: Pravin Sawhney

Exactly, Pakistan extracted key achievements from the 4 day war; demonstrated their personnel and organizational quality while doing the minimal of fighting. The Saudi-Pak agreement solidified the impression. If Saudi funding is funding the upgrades, Trump is all the more happy to sell; he loves to make deals, especially in the billions of dollars. As with Bush and Musharraf, when a personal relationship is flourishing, things really start to move. But the high water mark of 2005 ended by 2008 with Obama coming in. Pakistan needs to make sure deliveries are done before the end of 2028.

Right about the Saudi funding Pakistani weapons purchases, which would immensely please Trump and also right about the 'personal relationship'.
Speaking of personal relationships, I believe Pak-USA relationship was significantly tarnished by Leon Panetta after the OBL raid in 2011. While Obama and Kerry had given Pakistan credit for the raid, Leon started to vilify Pakistan for his personal glory. Obama wasn't too bad with Pakistan initially.

With the Dems it’s always a slow ramp up, but it usually doesn’t end well for arms sales to the Pakistani military when the dems are in power.

It may be off topic, but I notice Dems try to take somewhat of a 'high ground' approach about human rights, democracy etc while Repubs have stopped caring about that for a long time, especially when it came to Pakistan. Biden was the worst POTUS for Pakistan by far, quickly followed by Trump's first tenure. But Biden was not warm to India either because his political 'base' couldn't ignore the rise of 'Hindutva' in India; NY Times ran many anti-Modi articles during Biden's term.
Trump in his second term: Doesn't give a damn about anything in foreign countries' domestic situation. Not a damn!!

If the S400 did shoot something down … don’t the Indians realise the Russians would be celebrating this?…

it is a major marketing point
You can not hide a wreckage as big as a Saab 2000, which is literally an airliner. Picture of the air defence auxiliary post was literally out after 15 minutes when it was hit by the drone in lahore. There's just something extremely wrong with these people man. The delusion is extreme.

Trump is transactional. Ironically, it might be China that pushes for more internal reforms in countries with its global governance initiative, tied to investments. Chinese investments need stable governance and a level field for their companies to be able to grow markets and reap a profit. I know this is off topic, so I’ll end it there.

While true, he's still one of the more saner voices from India and his assessments recently have been solid

We don't exactly have to agree on everything with him
And, Rahul Gandhi was a guest speaker at one of his books launching ceremony. Who knows if he comes to power he might listen to him...

BJP or Congress, they're all the same in doctrine against Pakistan, we do not have any friends or well-wishers there. With the clown shows going on, i don't expect anything good from that side of the border anyway
Even a regime change or govt change will not help matters now, its too late and they're too far ahead in their "akhand bharat" plans

About 3 months after the conflict, the head of the IAF suddenly remembered they shot down 12 Pakistani planes
Its a daily routine thing for the Indian Air Farce to shoot a dozen PAF planes, nothing worth mentioning in the official Indian Air Farce briefings.

I dont know guys

i cant listen to him (pravin) as he sometimes goes the way of his fellow hindutvas and he actually believes what his country does
i'm sure he still thinks we're harboring terrorists

so lets not give him too many views or legitimacy, after all, he still an indian!
A very smart and intelligent propagandist.

He has never once mentioned that Pakistani military has been fighting terrorism for the last two decades but instead he tries to create an impression that it's actually Indian military that's bogged down fighting terrorism.

Truth is they have been brainwashed in thinking they are superior… and their heads cannot come around to accept it
