If only they had done this in 2005. How many lives would have been saved. Pakistan should have moved 300k troops in Afghanistan border areas and joined NATO and completely occupied and subdued it before handing it back.

20 years of strategic restraint for the same end result.

As sad as it is to say: There is a gradation of ease of 'blood flows' across countries of this world. For some countries, even one person dying is too much. For some, 1000 dying is nothing. In that vein, I kind of recall what Truman said about 'the Asians': They can take a lot of casualties; I think dropping The Bomb on Japan was connected to that, but I digressed!
The Afghans, and some of their ideological counterparts in Pakistan's northwest, have the least resistance to dying, and hence you see the rampant suicide bombers... They imported some sick Middle Eastern ways to wage 'wars' after 9/11 otherwise against the Soviets in the 80s, 'suicide bombing' was not 'fashionable' as it has become. We now have suicide bombers for hire in Pakistan's northwest and in much of Afghanistan!!!

What it tells you is that the marauding, nomadic 'culture' such as in Afghanistan and in some tiny pockets of Pakistan, have rationalized even 'suicide bombing', and taking one's life is strictly forbidden in Islam.

worry not, i think that money flow will easily be blocked or reduce itself (even if slowly) once recession in europe actually hits. Then those countries will either boot them back or eliminate them anyway,
problem may end up getting resolved in one way or another.

We need to understand my post above: India is trying very hard to convince the Americans to not give advanced weaponry to Pakistan. Indians were correct to convey to the Americans that Pakistan doesn't need F-16s against the northwest Pakistan's terrorism. And of course India and America never truly 'bought' the idea that Pakistan would be constrained to use F-16s against India 'in a pinch'. Why would Pakistan buy such expensive fighter jets except against India??!!!
The Pakistani arsenal of F-16, when upgraded, simply adds 70+ Rafale-matching fighter jets to the Pakistani arsenal--credit to @Blain2 for mentioning 70 F-16s in a different thread.

Premature celebrations should not be the national characteristic. At this point the concern should be what comes after this in terms of reprisals against Pakistan.

While on the subject of celebrating PAF - don’t forget the assets on the ground risking their lives to provide everything from live intel to threat assessments.

All done at night - coordinated packages.
If anything, India is thinking of undertaking a bit more training before it’s attempts north and south.
