The person I quoted said the regime is doing to Iranians what Israel is doing to Palestenians. I did not read anything in regards to corruption in that statement. Nice try!.

Another so called “ally” of Iran. A country Iran helped thru tough times by sending them fuel and repairing their energy facilities, just tried to jump ship. Another blow and proof of a disastrous foreign policy lead by incompetent Iranian officials.
If it wasn’t for Solemani taking advantage of the idiotic moves of George W Bush (removing Taliban and Removing Saddam), iran would never have grown so influential so quickly from 2000-2012.
Unfortunately these idiotic officials couldn’t capitalize on that influence and squandered it all away from 2015-2024.

I suppose when 30K Iranians die in traffic accidents, another 30K die from air pollution and several thousands die because of sanctions, at that point the line that differentiates what is genocide and what is not becomes really thin.
I mean Israel killed 65K Palestinians in 2 years. The regime's mismanagement, blind support for Iran Khodro and SAIPA mafioso, and lack of proper foreign policies is killing more or less the same number of Iranians, including children with rare diseases who can't access proper treatment because of the sanctions.
Its pure trump tactical, pressure to gain contract and economic benefits, nothing else, you got to have à powerful military to Counter them and Venezuela doesn't

By “some form,” I meant it metaphorically, not literally, because the method differs, but the desired outcome is similar: to purify society from a cultural or ethnic identity. If we want to be more precise, the correct term is ethnocide.
Before 1979, Persian and Islamic identity were not separate, they were one and the same. This unity was deliberately broken by dividing and erasing the Persian civilizational element by portraying it as inferior, un-Islamic, or something to be ashamed of.
In that sense, the revolution’s ideological project was not ethnic cleansing in the physical sense, but ethnocide in the cultural sense, a deliberate effort to destroy Iran’s integrated Persian-Islamic identity and replace it with a homogenized religious-ideological one.
