Israel Genocide in Gaza - 2023 to present - Part ll

CNN anchor Becky Anderson spoke with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aati in Sharm el-Sheikh, where world leaders will meet later today for a summit on the future of Gaza.

"We need American forces on the ground," Abdel-Ati said, adding, "In this process, we are talking, and of course we have to define the nature of these forces, as you know. Is it to impose peace or to maintain peace? It must be for peacekeeping, of course," he stressed, stressing that "any American participation in this transitional force is important and welcome."

Why no reference to Palestinian statehood and self determination for the Palestinian people? That statement doesn't address the root cause of the issue.
Bro..the ARABS wouldn't have signed this deal if there wasn't a serious hint from Trump for the Establishment of a Palestinian state..Which is the core demand of the Arabs, Muslims and in fact the majority of world nations..

There are other planned phases after this first one which priority was to stop the war.. there will be a phase for rebuilding Gaza and a following phase for the establishment of Palestinian state..or the famous two state solution.. But most likely it will be a disarmed state..with its defense guaranteed somehow by the regional and International powers.. It will then see peace and prosperity God willing..

Was watching CNN before Trump's speech in Egypt, and one of the guests made a very good statement, if the Arab's were willing to create a force to monitor Gaza, and secure the peace and stability there, would they be willing to risk the lives of their countrymen? Without the U.S. Will they be willing to stop supporting various factions and bring all to the table?

Seems from this Foreign Minister's statement that the answer has been given.

This agreement is to stop the current conflict. There is no guarantee of a two-state solution. You have to understand that for any Israeli politician, it's political suicide to agree to a Palestinian state. With the right-wing faction of Israeli parties in the Knesset, it's not going to sell.

From what I am seeing, 2 things is true on this

1.) If you want lasting peace in Gaza, you need a US Peacekeeper on one side, and Russian/Chinese Peacekeeper on the other; anything else has been tried before, and nothing is stopping anything.

2.) Trump now basically cares shit all about Gaza, now that he "lost" the Nobel Peace Prize.

Sadly, I don't think this peace is going to last, maybe in the next year or so if Trump really were on top of it, but again, with his short attention span, he probably won't care and just let Netanyahu get on. Unless it is a high-caliber country that can rival Israel and make them think twice about doing another occupation, this is going to keep happening. Simply because Netanyahu won't survive in the political arena unless this war wages on. I can see how Trump is trying to get the last-minute deal done to score brownie points for the prize, but I can't see how he is interested in even lifting a finger on the issue now.

Palestinian statehood Will be announced within a year.....it will be moth eaten for sure , defeated people can't expect a better deal .... that's the law of the nature.

I won't blame you for being sceptical , things have reached the culmination point.... there's no option other than peace and Palestinian state.

So the summit was more a competition of who could suck up the most to Trump with as expected no end results to show for? Embarrassing to watch. No resolute talk about the establishment of a Palestinian state or some kind of permanent solution to the conflict, no talk of Israel needing to pay for the destruction and harm that they have caused etc.

In other words another completely useless summit. MbS was smart enough to avoid attending this charade.

Curious to see how this will be solved:

And how you are going to connect the Gaza enclave with the West Bank to create a viable Palestinian state?

The more one looks into it the more it makes sense to create 1 single country with equal rights for everyone. This way the Palestinians will become the majority. Otherwise the Palestinian state that might (big might) emerge will just be a Bantustan, permanently condemned to irrelevancy and at the mercy of Israel.

If Israel is a reality, the goal might as well be to follow the UN-approved 1947 plan and not the 1967 plan.

At least the 1947 map makes far more sense, there is a direct connectivity with Gaza as well. Neither seems very realistic nowadays, less so the 1947 version obviously compared to 1967.

What makes sense to one side may not make sense to the other side. Obviously, there has to be compromise for the matter to proceed to a workable and realistic solution.

Gaza Civil Defense:

We have recovered more than 250 bodies since the ceasefire.

There are still thousands.
