Don't cross your fingers just yet. They'll start again in a few hours.
Yes, Taliban have a 30 year track record of breaking every single deal, agreement or understanding, within days, if not hours. It will be highly odd if they can hold their horses on this one for a while.

badly done 1, 2 and 3!

would lead to total collapse in a single month..

there are already news of sabotage activity going on..

infact, this will incentivize all the terror activities inside Pak.
kidnapping, bomb blasts etc etc

how, one may ask!

reason: total opaqueness on legal trade!

Pakistan and Afghanistan have agreed to an immediate ceasefire following high-level negotiations in Doha, where both countries pledged to respect each other’s sovereignty and are expected to meet again on October 25 to further discuss matters, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said on Sunday.

Amid heightened tensions along the Pak-Afghan border, a high-level Pakistani delegation led by Asif travelled to Doha on Saturday for talks with Afghan Taliban officials, aimed at ending cross-border hostilities and addressing Pakistan’s security concerns. Facilitated by Qatar, the talks followed days of clashes and Pakistani strikes on Gul Bahadur group camps in Afghanistan, after a 48-hour ceasefire was extended to allow negotiations.

In a post on X, the minister announced, “A ceasefire agreement has been finalised. The terrorist attacks from Afghanistan on Pakistan’s soil will cease immediately. Both neighbouring countries will respect each other’s territory,” adding that delegations will meet again in Istanbul on October 25 to discuss matters in detail.

“We are sincerely grateful to both brotherly countries, Qatar and Turkiye,” the minister said.

This so called agreement is NOT good enough. There needs to be a clear policy from Pakistan on A-Stan, and this policy needs to be shared with people of Pakistan. As part of this policy the following needs to be clearly outlined:

1- Repatriation of Afghan refugees back to A-Stan. These refugees are a huge security and economic risk to Pakistan. All of them need to be sent back to A-Stan.

2- Pakistan - Afghan transit trade is NOT in the interest of Pakistan. This trade needs to be put in a strict frame-work. Afghan drivers coming to Pakistan need security clearance. There needs to be a biometric system to do this. All Afghan trucks need to be searched.

3- Afghanistan cannot send anything to India from Pakistan. There needs to be a full stop on this.

4- There needs to be a strict Finance framework imposed on A-Stan. A-Stan and its people should be restricted from buying any Foreign currency in Pakistan. They can ony do so via approved channels nominated by Pakistan.

5- for any terrorist activities, Pakistan needs to flatten the whole fuking country.

6- Pakistan needs to ensure that Majority Tajiks and others ethnicities in A-Stan who actually have a bigger population in A-Stan are represented in A-Stan.

So far, Pakistan state has failed in its basic duty to Pakistan people and its soldiers. This is FUKING PATHETIC to say the least!!
