Israeli media confirmed that the UAE is financing Israeli regional military expansion through the establishment of a military base in Somaliland.

The Israeli newspaper Haaretz published a report titled, “All Eyes on Somaliland: The Small African State That Holds the Key to Israel’s War on Houthi Terrorism.”

If the UAE denies ties to the RSF, they wouldn’t mind if the Saudis try to broker peace there, they was the Saudis unified the Southern Yemenis at the end of last year, ending the UAE aligned faction in Yemen. Stabilizing Libya and Sudan, as well as helping to reconcile the differences in the part of Somalia controlled from Mogadishu and then unify the whole country, would help Saudi secure its eastern flank from potential future threat vectors.
