Elegant indian homes

[peacemaker99]

One thing south india has, apart ftom money, is space. So they experiment with different designs for their homes. This thread to capture some interesting ones.

Starting with a home Arvin hadad recently critiqued, but there are way better homes, according to me. But very interesting, nonetheless.

I like the historic houses of India, modern houses are just a way of showing off unimaginable wealth for the average person.

Yeah but if alll houses stuck to traditional designs then landscape looks uniform and dull too.

But modern houses are not environmental friendly, the carbon footprint of modern mansions in terms of material and transport costs is very high.

India is blessed with beautiful architecture that needs to be preserved and showcased.

Adopt Kerala style houses along Western Ghats, Traditional Rajasthani houses would be fine for the rest but they are still heat retaining.

I think this is the way forward. , mix of upper class and multi_millionnaire and billionaire in same complex. Both get dwellings customized to their needs but form the same society and connections. Sobha are true innovators of this structure. @vasanthm @RescueRanger

The same complex, look at the awesome houses the billionaires have built.
