India has made great progress in AESA and specially GaN based technology inlast three years and most of the earlier platforms like NETRA MK1 were GaA based hence they were put on hold as new version were under testing

already 6 A320s are modified for MK2 version and more could be in pipeline as MOD and IAF both want bigger platforms that have higher service cieling and much better flight endurence while also better & cheaper mantainence infra so it could be more than a dozen second hand civilian A320s more that could be modified for AEW&C roles with added modification of buddy tanker ...watch this space

I think AWAC situation for India is very serious now. No new orders have been placed as of yet, Phalcon is a 20 year old system now so will need an upgrade, it relies on an old IL-76 airframe with 4 russian jet engines so downtime will be significant. Neta is three planes and unsure how effective it is (certainly PAF never mentioned them in any accounts). My advice would be to go for E-3 quickly.

IAF's Phalcon AWACS can control (battle management) six airborne interceptions and manage three strike missions at same time, whereas Netra AEW&Cs can control three interceptions and manage one tactical strike mission at the same time

we are working very very closely with israelies since early 2000s ever since we baught phalcon & greenpine radars from them and since then they have helped us a lot in coustomissing owr electronic warfare capabilities to a level almost as clsoe to as equal if not better than leading NATO nations

even netra mimmicks the latest israeli AEW&C assets while we have already been waiting and even postponned Embraer based AEW&C assets for bigger A320 & A350 based assets that fly higher and longer and have more work stations besides could also be used a buddy refulers
