Checkout the size of the missile under the wing of this JF-17 Thunder. The length it extends from it's launch rail, clearly points to the fact that it surely isn't the SD-10 variety.

It would be fairly trivial to calculate the dimensions of that missile to narrow down the list of possible units.

There is only one and it has been flown on the jet in a “operational” test some 5 years ago but in general those missiles are pretty expensive and capable kits best kept in storage to avoid flight time and stress on them until absolutely necessary and then too keep them reserved for the J-10C because that is truly capable of maximizing them for what they are.

The PL10.

For love of GOD why this thread is still open. O bhai the picture is photoshop.

Fact: Did you know that the software written for the JF-17's avionics totals more than 01 million lines of rigorous instructions. And with the Block-III upgrade, it is now estimated at around 2.1 million lines.

More lines of code 'generally' mean more features and capabilities.

All that line of code , only one that matters is

"Fire Missile" code as long as that works

However nice share that the Thunder has 2 million lines of code that is quite a bit of code , to fly that thing

I would imagines
a) Code for new Helmet system added in , integrated with weapon control
b) New Missiles (Home grown air to air )
c) New Engine integration
d) Updates for Radar

The radar and air to air options are certainly great addition

That's not even true though. There are several things that need to be identified correctly before you can even think of firing anything.
