Are Pakistani members in this forum still safe ?

I am not only confused, i am also in frustration, what is going in this forum and in Pakistan.

In previous forum, no one restricted pakistani politics section, no one permanently banned users who were talking against Respected Army Chief.
Even not warned users for that.

Then instead deleting all users and their data, forum administration said forum is under investigation, then now saying they co-operated with authorities to investigate forum and users, instead deleting all data to safe single user or users.

Now, Again saying, You are responsible for what you post. Its mean you will again co-operate with authorities and hand over users details. Still Pakistani political section is open.

100% safe. We have taken multiple measures now, hence the time it took for us to set the site up. We would just like people to remain civil.

Exactly. Even if the management here can guarantee safety of identifying information for its members, the authorities have many ways to track them. It is best to remain within forum rules as well as any and all applicable local legal requirements to help with safety.

Of course, that approach only works where there is rule of law. And that may not be true for all the areas from where members post.

Stringent moderation is great, but please note that selectively stringent moderation is fatal poison for the forum over the long run. Any moderation must be fair, consistent and applicable to everyone, without exceptions. Otherwise we have just seen what happens.
