Most missing persons are people who left to join terrorist groups. Genocide does not exist in Balochistan. Genocide is in Gaza where 20k+ dead and 50k + injured in just a matter of 3 months. However, we can’t deny the injustices that take place in Balochistan. A lot of this is because sardar/wadera system. Sardars want to keep their people poor and stupid to have power over them. The state should make a plan to destroy sardar system in Balochistan and focus on development of Balochistan. Balochistan has no doubt been neglected for far too long.

The state would do well not to ignore the voice of the downtrodden and the oppressed.

The state and particularly the generals are too stupid/arrogant to address the core issue. This has been ongoing for years now. Many of the "disappeared" indeed belong to BLA etc. Although there must be some that are picked up in Vigo's too.

The core issue is liberating the Baloch people from dinosaur fuedals. The fuedals continue to play the anti-state card. Pakistani state is not present in the heartland of Balochistan. This is criminal. Also, by not being present the state has neglected Balochistan for a very long time. Of course other actors get a chance to sow discontent.

In short, this is yet another big failure of the Pakistani state and the generals who ultimately run the show. The state has failed to look after Baloch people. These people have the same rights as all other Pakistanis. Despite being rich in resources, Balochistan is the most backward province in Pakistan? How the heck is this even possible? It is only possible because the state has failed to deliver.

This is essentially what we term a dysfunctional state. A state that is unable to deliver justice and basic necessities to the people of the land. This is what differentiates the developed and underdeveloped.

Koi khuda na hof kar.

10,000 PTI workers (including children) are still in prison. Imran Riaz Khan was abducted for 9 months.

Will you only believe it when it happens to you and people you love?

Baloch carried out a genocide against Punjabis, Urdu speakers and saraikis in the 2000s

Full support to the military in whatever they're doing to curtail militancy and the settlement of people from all across the country into Gwadar. My contention with them is limited to what they did with PTI, TLP, and the larger derailing of democracy, as well as the handling of tribal areas.

Balochistan would always erupt in insurgency and demands for secession because it's historically underpopulated. Any development, such as a new city or projects like the mining sector requiring manpower, will result in intense demographic issues for the local people.

It's a catch-22 situation - leave it be, or develop it, leading to inevitable demographic issues, i.e., the whole or 70% cause of the secessionist movement in the first place.
Demographics issues are the rallying cry for secessionists - when you name a place Balochistan, they expect it to be majority Baloch but even now it's not forget what'll happen if Gwadar turns into even quarter or even 10% of what's it expected to be by idiots in GOP or mining sector catches on requiring manpower both skilled and unskilled from rest of the country

Either fight insurgency alongside settlement of more people (that why afghans were brought into Balochistan) to slowly make Balochistan a diverse place of different ethnic groups or follow Zardari's suggestion where Local people of every province Punjab, KPK, SIndh be given a card where they have more political rights than other ethnicities if they move into their provinces for work, settling down

He believes that his solution can end insurgency and develop Balochistan with manpower from other regions at the same time

Typical Pakistani mentality. Only when their own house is on fire then they'll realise. Pakistani state must protect the balochi people, they must be given justice, security, development, education and only then these problems will disappear. The state cannot continue to harm the people and then demand respect and loyalty.

The Pakistani state and media on purpose ignore genuine protests. When it came to PTI 40,000 protesters, or PPP, PmlN 10,000 protesters it has always been shown live but Balochis, Kashmiris, Gilgit Baltistan protests have always been sensored.

Massive GB protests

Biggest crime of TLP supporters was that they were born into the wrong ethnicity or everyone would have been on their case from day one ;)

How about focus development on local people ahead of mega projects? Are all rural people in the world deprived and under developed? If people had economic opportunity and education, it'd be much harder to manipulate them. Using colonial era tactics has worked really well so far - it did great in Bengal, it's doing great in KPK and Balochistan.

TLP were mostly given coverage on social media. Tlp protests were genuine aswell, they wanted censorship of blasphemy contents, removal of blasphemous contents from social media, strict action against those responsible, removal of French ambassador but Pti government was saying its not possible. We all are now witnessing how it works against PTI. The problem is the state lack of responsibility towards its citizens. When it came to PTI everything in the state power was used against them but hardly any action against blasphemy.

The people of Pakistan must understand that these things are done on purpose. The western world on purpose promotes those things which are against a nation culture and religion and then cause fitna, they lobby our governments and institutions to turn a blind eye. Tomorrow we will witness new fitnas such as the Lgbtq promotion.

Shame on the racist police for arresting women.

So was every other protest - although if you remember SM was banned during TLP protests or certain apps were - I don't remember but something happened with SM

Heres the elephant in the room I was hinting towards
Both PTI and TLP was mobilization of Punjabi youths in street protests within last 5 years, young men with no job opportunities except in service sector catered to diaspora, becoming diaspora or limited back breaking factory work - that's why no one would talk about them or call it oppression, or suffering
Because in their minds it's not oppression as they are racists towards us - Even amongst PTI crowd go to SM and see how Pashtun and urdu speaking Punjabi members lament us even though the whole party wouldn't have lasted a day if our youth hadn't been the front face of the protests and still are

TLP is almost demonized like they are the second coming of Taliban

Thats why reject boomer PMLN and racist PTI for TLP

This Ugly B**ch was real quiet when asked about the genocide of 2000s and later killings of poor laborers to this day
only willing to talk about Baloch genocide with the highest TRP rates of any ethnicity and highest provincial pop growth in the country
A complete joke playing with the emotions of diaspora, urban upper middle class and hoping for international support
Issue is demographics where they want Baloch majority in a province with a population less than Lahore metropolitan area and historical presence of ethnic minorities- it can't happen

either try out Zardari's solution, resolve it peacefully by making other ethnicities who later move in a second-class citizen or go all out - whatever it is make a choice and stick to

although I have a feeling, they won't accept zardari's solution either ...

only idiots think its an issue of development lol - tribal areas were the most Pak Nat part of Pakistan even though it was the most underdeveloped
9/11 changed that
Thar has no insurgency with no development same with south Punjab, waseb, parts of KPK like Krak etc, Gilgit
many other such examples come to mind

Lack of development can be a catalyst for insurgency but not the rallying cry or the main point

We use to make fun of these missing people calling it Indian sponsored propaganda and what not, guess we learnt it the hard way now that it is happening all over Pakistan specially in Punjab. Let me start by apologizing to our Baloch Brothers and sisters for not recognizing their pain earlier and what they went through. We from Punjab stand with you in your struggle to find your missing as we do to find our own.

After all that has happened with PTI and Imran Khan I am not surprised anymore with the events taking place in Balochistan and elsewhere. This is frankly expected. It also very brutally exposes the inability of the generals. Balochistan issue has dragged on for decades now. There is no end to the debacle in Balochistan. How can any country move forward when it's people and provinces aren't even stable and secure?

We have all learnt something sinister recently. The generals are foul and clueless. Completely oblivious to reality. Not only are these generals clueless, but they are also very power hungry. Every army in almost every country is always powerful and frankly above the law. Armies enjoy certain perks and respect. The problem with the generals in Pakistan is that they want to control absolutely everything. Especially foreign policy. This goes beyond their mandate and it is bad for Pakistan. The argument that Pakistan won't survive without the general's wisdom and meddling is outdated and incorrect.

Pakistan has to transform. Every institution must fulfil its role. It is impossible that the generals run everything.
