During The period from 4 to 6 March will be held at the Qatar National Convention Center under the slogan “Lighting the way to a future that goes beyond maritime security”, hosted and organized by the Qatari Armed Forces.

The exhibition includes nine international pavilions that embrace a group of companies, bodies and institutions from the participating countries, including Qatar, Turkey, the United States of America, Italy, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Iran and China.

40 Turkish companies in the field of defense industries are preparing to participate in the Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition “DIMDEX 2024”, organized by the Qatari Armed Forces under the patronage of Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The exhibition will kick off in Doha between March 4 and 6, with the participation of prominent Turkish companies under the umbrella of the Defense Industries Authority of the Turkish Presidency, such as “Aselsan,” “Roketsan,” “Baykar,” “BMC,” “Havelsan,” and others.

Havelsan will display in its booth at the exhibition:

  1. New generation ADVENT combat management system
  2. DOOB combined command and control system
  3. Command and control system to support Air Force operations and missions TICCS
  4. SONGAR plane
  5. Military simulation techniques
  6. Products related to the “Digital Military Units” project, which includes BARKAN, SANCAR, KAPGAN and BAHA unmanned aerial and ground vehicles.

Qatar signs a number of contracts and memorandums of understanding during the “DIMDEX” exhibition

The Armed Forces and Qatari companies specialized in the field of defense and security signed a number of contracts and memorandums of understanding related to the supply of ammunition, calibers and their components, technology transfer for defense products, the development of automated/unmanned surface craft, the development of mechanisms, the provision of spare parts and maintenance, the establishment of research laboratories, the provision of information and communications, and other deals with... A number of specialized international companies, research centers and universities from various countries of the world, according to what was reported by the Qatar News Agency (QNA).

During the second day of the eighth edition of the Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition and Conference “DIMDEX 2024”, which is held under the slogan “Lighting the way to a future that goes beyond maritime security,” the armed forces signed a number of contracts, including a rotating contract to provide spare parts and services, develop the calibration center, and maintain Visual surveillance systems, and a memorandum of understanding to maintain, operate and maintain aircraft engines.

The Amiri Naval Forces signed a contract to implement the “Halul 11” fast strike boats project, and a memorandum of understanding for the “Halul 10” multi-mission boats project, while the Amiri Maintenance Corps signed a contract to develop the second phase’s FAB mechanisms.
The Amiri Signal Corps signed a contract to connect military security sites to the armed forces’ fiber optic network, another to establish a cellular network for the armed forces, and a third to establish a research laboratory for quantum computing, information security, communications, artificial intelligence, and the national encryption initiative.

As for “Baroud Ammunition” Company, it signed a contract to supply ammunition, calibers and their components, and to transfer technology for defense products, while “Barzan Holding Company” signed a contract to supply ammunition to the Indonesian forces, another to develop automated/unmanned surface craft, and a memorandum of understanding to develop FAB/second phase mechanisms. The company signed two contracts to implement the electronic warfare pilot project and the laser guidance project.

In this regard, His Excellency Major General Abdullah bin Hassan Al-Sulaiti, Commander of the Emiri Naval Forces, confirmed that a memorandum of understanding had been signed to implement a project for multi-tasking boats (towing/towing, firefighting, rescue, and other services) at sea, with two boats being delivered as a first stage, followed by them. Three boats, followed by another “unmanned” ship, and a contract for fast missile strike boats approximately 45 meters long, suitable for territorial waters, was signed.

He stressed that such deals represent a strong addition to the naval forces and also serve the civilian authorities at sea in rescue and rapid intervention operations, pointing out that all arms deals include theoretical training and practical training, starting from the manufacturing process all the way to the delivery process and a specific period during operation, indicating that the State of Qatar It has entered the stages of manufacturing military equipment and ammunition, making great strides, and despite the modernity of Qatari military products, it is expanding in this field and moving at a steady pace.

The Cockrell 1030 weapons station, designated for the Qatari Armed Forces, integrates a powerful Mark 44 cannon from Northrop Grumman.

Designed to provide a comprehensive defense mechanism against drones, this innovation provides radar-based detection and tracking to enable precise targeting and neutralization of aerial threats.

In an exciting development, the company announced that this new counter-drone system is also compatible with the Cockerel i-X combat vehicle, expanding the potential applications of this technology across different platforms.

BMC, the leading Turkish company in the field of defense equipment manufacturing, caught attention during its participation in the Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition “DIMDEX 2024” by displaying a wide variety of advanced armored vehicles.

The Kirpi II (4×4) mine- and ambush-resistant vehicle topped the list of vehicles on display at the BMC stand.

Kirpi II provides a high level of protection against mines and ballistic missiles, and has proven exceptional effectiveness against IED blasts.

The exhibition also witnessed the display of the Amazon (4×4) multi-purpose armored vehicle, which was specially designed and manufactured by BMC to meet the requirements of the Turkish Land Forces. The Amazon vehicle has already entered service with the Turkish Land Forces, and has achieved great success in exports to several countries, including Qatar.

The Turkish company also displayed an Altuğ armored fighting vehicle, which has a height of 2.5 meters.

The Altog has an overall length of 8.33 metres, including the non-armored boxes at the rear which can be removed, reducing the vehicle's length to 8 metres.

“Altog” features an independent air-hydraulic suspension system, can dive into water up to a depth of 1.2 metres, reaches a speed of 110 km/h and has an operational range of more than 800 km.

The vehicle features an almost V-shaped hull for increased mine resistance.
